I was banded Jan 21, 2009 at 256 pounds. Within the first year I lost 50 pounds and was able to keep it off, but could not loose anymore. Within the past year I've vomited every single thing I put in my mouth, even protein shakes. I've had 6cc's of saline in my band since May 2010. I gained back to 237 within this past year because I haven't been able to keep anything down and not been getting the proper nutrition and protein that I needed. On Aug 12, 2013 I had all the saline removed from my band and had an UGI performed. I went to my surgeon today Aug 30, 2013 and was told that my UGI was normal and that my band must have been too tight. I decided to have a revision to the gastric sleeve. Since my insurance does not cover anything to do with weight loss, I'm paying out of pocket for the revision and don't have to go though all the stuff for insurance approval. I'm so excited, my pre-op is scheduled on my birthday, Sept 13, 2013 and my surgery is scheduled for Sept 25, 2013!!
