Best guess....chicken breast....not chewing good....over fill....I did all three several times over that period and now living with the severe pain near my port down and to the left underneath my left breast. I'm having full liquids but staying cimpletely away from anything substantial. If this doesn't clear up in 3 days I'm going to see the doc. Im going to stay away from chicken except maybe dark meat in a crockpot. I really have to learn the basics and stick to them when I start eating again. I guess I thought I could do my own thing. Right!!!! Thankyou for your concern. -
Too tight? Or is this typical?
donna450 replied to Wanna-Be-Healthy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I an a newbie. Got to my mushies and either did not chew good enough or forgot the basics. I'm not judging anyone just taking a little here and a little there and try it for myself. I have vomited 4-5 times trying to eat thinking I had cooked it good enough. The advice I get from all the sites I keep inside and mull it over but don't take it as the bible. You've got to think for yourself and take it for consideration for what you think your body can accept. Pros and cons everyone has an opinon. -

It is scheduled for 10-2. But as of yesterday I started getting gas like pains. HURT!!!! I have thrown up 5-6x this past week. Not sure if it's food, fullness, or whatever. But I'm worried. Calling the doc this morn. I read some other posts and not eating meat is not unusual.. I had fish last night and it went down fine except ate too much had to throw up some. I've got to learn to eat slower chew more and stop eating as soon as I start feeling full. It's hard for me, but pain near port and under left breast and collarbone is horrible. I'll let u know what the doc says. -

Congrats...perseverance pays off...happy for you that you kept your head not your tummy in control. Mind over matter. Can't wait til I get my 1st fill to start losing again -
What does anyone if anything, find you were allergic to any food(s) while they were on clear and full liquids. I get many headaches migraine and sinus type. Ever since I've been on the mushies and it's only been a week or less I've had several headaches. They're bad. I got an appointment for food and environmental allergy testing. I had a allergy test many years ago ...not food...but she tested me for ten differnt things and I was allergic to all ten. Pets, dander, all outside stuff, mold, mildew. It's just so horrible. I think I might go back to full liquids every other week or so. But will wait til testing. Anyone else with this problem?

I've never been told not to eat breakfast but to eat what you can tolerate...anything....within reason..carbs considered. Shouldn't be over 300-350 cals. Right now I'm on mushies for the next 3 weeks. Tried to eat "reg" food but didn't chew it up good enough and up it came. So I have a banana strawberry w/pro pdw ice and Water. Very good. But doesnt quite fill me up. Figuring out what I can have mushie style for breakfast so it stays down. Any other suggestions?????

Im finding out quickly that on mushies I was taking advantage of eating anything and finding out u can't eat anything. I had to throw up chicken and green Beans. I ate two bites and vomited 5x. I had a Protein smoothie afterwards. Stayed down. So only 860 cals today. I'm going to eat smaller amt slowly. This is hard for me so wish me luck. Thx.

What Pre-op diet where/are you on
donna450 replied to intelirish's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow...mine was 2 wks. I couldn't have a meal. I drank tea hot and cold, Water, chicken broth, sugar free popcicles, 27 grams of protein in Protein Drink. I mixed my vanilla with orange. Mixed chocolate with coco pdr just a little mixed with a little banana pdr and stevia. Mine was made with the magic bullet. I put in 6-8 oz water, crushed iced about a 1/4 c to 1/3 c then two scoops of protein pdr. Run iit through and it was frothy and sweet and substantial. It was hard for 2 wks. And I did have an enlarged liver...xray...I did only have 3 shakes a day about 800-1000 cal a day depending on the cals in your protein drink. I got my pro pdr from band dr. I got all four flavors. Choco vanilla banana and orange. Choco went 1st of course. But I had only the four things all day. I didn't watch when I drank except shakes I had 4 hours apart. Make sure your protein has at least 23 or more grams of protein per two scoops. You'll do fine...keep your eyes on the prize...where you from...me? north of tampa florida and I am 63 yrs. Good luck and....be safe...stay strong!
