Please tell me there will come a day.....
BellaHugz replied to gohelpyourself's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was on liquids for 2 weeks as well, then the next stage is soft foods and so forth. Slowly but surely you will be able to enjoy a bigger menu. Be patient with yourself too. Having said that I remember when i could add soft boiled eggs chopped into teeny tiny egg salad bits and pieces and I was Thanking God for something to chew. -
Energy level changes and different tastebuds after surgery
BellaHugz replied to SleevesUp's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 4 weeks out and had to come to the realization that getting my energy back was going to be slow no matter how many circles I used to run around everybody. Funny thing is I used to love sugar free gum now I cant stand it, taste like someone poured sugar into my mouth. Also didnt really like Mrs Dash seasoning, now I am thankful for it! who knew? -

How did you pamper yourself?
BellaHugz replied to Winningbylosing's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I like to treat my self to a pamper day and get my hair highlighted and cut, sometimes a pedicure with a message chair, Yes i know it is the small things but i do appreciate them. I also get small treats for every 10lbs, something to help me in my journey to a better exercising lifestyle! Just got myself Jullian Micheals 30 day Shred. -
Intractable and severe Pain in the Feet ?
BellaHugz replied to Truth&Gutz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow very interesting, Thanks for sharing!! -
Just like fingerprints we are all different and so are our doctors. They know what went on inside you for your sleeve and what diet you should be on. I also think the doctors go on what has worked well for others who had long term good results. But believe me if your constantly looking at what every one else gets before you it will get to ya! ie: Damn that person is having a steak right now and they are only 1 month out, lol

MissMac well said, I believe my Dr said if you loose 11lbs with in th eyear you have done really well with your sleeve, so sweet one dont get discouraged on what the doctor is saying he wants to encourage you to do your best and start exercising then start exercise too. Remember this is a new begining for you so do your best and that's all you can ask for!. -

My Surgeon does not require 2 week pre op liquid diet?
BellaHugz replied to VegasGuitarGuy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My Dr didn't require the liquid diet either, in fact I was only told to do liquids 1 day before. Then kept reading about shrinking your liver and how it does help with the surgery. since I was doing a revision I wanted to do my best to make my surgery go off with out a hitch. I was very thankful that I had already done a pre-op diet before hand to get me used to liquids after surgery. It really helped me appreciate the food variety at every stage. Good luck on surgery it sounds like you are being proactive about it! -
Can't burp! Too early for carbonation?
BellaHugz replied to KittyChick's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the problem of feeling a bump in my throat after my surgery and it because they put an endoscopic devise down my throat to see if my sleeve had any leaks it took about 14-17 days for it to go away. Have you tried gasX for the burping? Also I would put carbonated bubbles in my tummy now, nope nodda chance because i dont want to end up back in the hopital for causing my stomach to burst. But you may try calling your Doctor and seeing what they can do for you, ie: Rx etc. Good luck -
