Will i ever be warm again?
BellaHugz replied to chicagirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Funny I always say to my family is it cold in here or is it just me? They now answer me when i start Is it cold... Funny I sleep like a baby in a cloud of warm fuzzy blankets..with an arcylic blanket, sheets and down blanket for the winter and now I make sure to have a throw on my shoulders too. During the day I make sure to have a warm sweater or jacket just to be safe. -
Do you still enjoy food?
BellaHugz replied to vincereautmori's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Oh yes, food is the one thing we all share with family and friends. It is the breaking of bread and the wonderful joy most of us feel when we have made something that is really good and our family just loves that meal. I still love family dinners together and learning how everyone day went. Funny thing is now is I am more judgemental on how my food taste. I have noticed if something has to much salt or not enough seasoning I am the first to say well it doesnt taste so good, or I am not happy with the way that turned out. It weird because I was raised on the thinking that you needed to clear that plate. Now I am making the better choices for me and my family! -

Rj I am so sorry you are going through all of this. You have set a goal and your want to reach it D**mit. And your family loves you so much they dont want to loose ya baby. so i would say add good protein in like avocados, nuts and yougart or cottage cheese. Make sure to feed your body what it needs and it will reward you past your wildest dreams and goals too! -

Having a rough time and nervous...
BellaHugz replied to Sunrise07214's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
O honey I am so sorry to hear about you loosing your sweet brother. There is nothing in the world that can replace your connection you had/have with him being in your life. Praying for healing to happen in your life. Hoping for strenght during this time and wisdom to make the right choices regarding your wls diet. I think it is very important for you to contact your NUT, ask them for help and guidance. Remember your brother would only want the best for you and your life, so take the necessary steps to make him proud. Hugs. -
My face is "too thin!"? I'm still over 200 lbs!
BellaHugz replied to Dr-Patient's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There will be a day when they say i dont reckonize you when you look at the picture you sent them now. Let that be the guiding force that drives you to your next goal.. I have pictures of my face being round and big most see it on my wall and dont even know it is me. It doesnt bother me at all it just gives me that push to push on! -
I love eggs, refried beans and lentil soups with less salt, tuna is great, also halibut. Add cottage cheese too. Learning to cook healthy green veggies also is a great way to get protein in.

Not enough information before sleeved
BellaHugz replied to Debi Morris's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Deb your in the right place now!! To make your sleeve work for you just keep a Memo pad or a little notebook and write down the words of wisdom you see on this forum. Ie: diet, exercise and keep a food/water intake journal. You will be able to see if you need to adjust your food by your journal as well. Good luck -
Cant i just have an all over fat transfer done to the parts i need extra fat back.ie: the girls. lol

Being nervous before surgery is totally normal. If you didnt feel those concerns then it may be time to worry. Wishing you the vey best surgery and recovery!
-
You need to add variety to your diet and those were something I really enjoyed! You can also make your own crystal light popscicles too!
-
I brought my own toiletries facial wash and lotion, brush, toothpaste and blow dryer. Nothing feels better then being able to get refreshed after surgery! Then a change to my own pj's helped me as well and i looked forward to walking the hallways with out the gown breeze!

BellaHugz replied to gohelpyourself's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would have to say Yes and wear them proudly!! Before surgery I was wearing 2 ankle supportive braces and now I am not and pain free. Woot woot, and yes I am shopping for shoes too! It is all good Of course when you get the new heels, you will have to buy a new purse and outfit to match!! Sounds like a goal shopping trip to me!! -
Pre op questions:
BellaHugz replied to HandStandElasticBand's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well congrats on your decesion to do this!! Be selfish and do what it takes to be healthy and happy for you!! I am 5 wks out I would say get some help with the kiddo's for the first few days no matter what you can always tell you help hey I got this after the fact and your feeling great. I spent 2 days in the hospital and had friends watching my lil girl. Then Hubby watched her for a few more days. My daughter was my biggest cheerleader when it came to walking around the house, but the pain was substaintal and I wasnt my self on the pain killers so I needed the extra help that first week. IN fact friends were calling and asking if they could bring meals over to my family. Since I only told 3 people I decided not to have meals brought over. -
