My mom passed away and now it is hard to stay on track.
BellaHugz replied to BellaHugz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you ladies for your response to my call for help. It is nice there are people I can ask for help on these forums regarding eatting right after having a Sleeve Revision and while trying to be smart and not fall into the wrong way of looking at food now. hhhHappy- i did put a call in to Nut/DR office but they havent called back, yet. Ktklass- I will go out and buy some Premier shakes from costco this weekend, they have 30gr of Protein and that will help me get the protein in that I need. EscapePod, thank you for your words of kindness and wisdom. Your right grief isnt normal there are days when it hits you and days when your just numb. I do appreciate your honesty. I lost my father many years ago and turned to "comfort food". This time I wanted to be smart. It is true that I havent been getting my Water in and that is something I try really hard to do. When i realized that I also figured I wasnt so hungry either just 3 meals a day instead of my 6 small meals. hugs to all of you again. -
Can you take her to the peditrician and then get your self on good probiotics just to be safe. Hope you lil girl feels better soon!

I thought the camera was supposed to add 10 lbs?
BellaHugz replied to Comfy_Blue's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is hard for me to see the change, but I know it is happening. A very wise sleever told me to take front, side and back photos along my journey So I would be able to see the changes as they happened. It takes me a bit to grasp even with photo evidence that I am getting smaller. Sheeze I still gravitate to bigger clothes at Dress Barn just by habit. -

BellaHugz replied to Madam Reverie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Madam, I just luv ya!! Funny I just lost another pound too!! zeepity do dah!! So in the future the formulation is SW-CW= X then X / GW = % lost? Yes size in clothes is a crazy thing, I hope to feel good in my body the number on the clothes is nice to see go down. I just wonder where that will be in the future. Hoping the building of muscle will help out the number of plastics in the future. -
Rate of Loss. 6 Month Weight Loss Metrics For Info/Comparison
BellaHugz replied to Madam Reverie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
oh this was a good post I needed the laugh and the realness of it all. Longtime coming, I get the comparision thing we are all human an sometimes do it.. Sheeze I had a friend who was pregnant compare herself to me and my wieght loss. Seriously, it hurt. I was like you gave birth to a child and all i did was loose fat, Really? But she found me to be a treat for a bit and I just stayed away for a while. Now with that said it is easy to compare but there are ladies on this site who would kill for your hair, just sayin" And weight loss too. When I get to goal I hope and pray my bmi will be healthy and my arms will have dents in them.. Ohhhhh ya and lets not forget the thighs to be skinner. Hey Madam How Am i doing stats wise? starting 240 now 192 10 wks out. -

Also Lost 4-5 inches b,w,b and 3 top sizes & 2 pant sizes!! I am very blessed by the support i have found on here.. I love my sleeve! Learned Valentine candy isnt worth it, I can go to the movies and dont have to have popcorn to watch it, Yay!! -

I had this problem too my first letter of approval was denied. You havent mentioned your BMI and many of us have had to fight for the 2nd letter to be approved. Hang in there and fight the good fight. Your health is worth it.

This is a great thread to read. I agree stalls are very frustrating I expected the 3 week stall from months of research on these forum. What i didnt expect is a 7 week stall, Yep I said it 7 weeks stall. However during that time I stayed the course on my water intake and watch my protein intake as well. I also kept going to the gym and now I have seen the scale move downwards and My endurance level is much higher. It helps to take measurements and also to have a scale that measures your water weight, and muscle mass so if the scale showing weight doesnt move, the others will!! So keep up your good work and have faith the sleeve will work for you!

I had the lapband for 5 years, each year the throwing up got worse. I was so worried I would have esphogial scarring and I was very lucky to get the lapband loosened until my surgery. After my sleeve I havent had any issues of throwing up, my acid reflux is gone! After surgery I did experince some nausea for the 1st day but it got better and I was so happy. Each of us is different after surgery wishing you the very best!

BlueSea, Isnt it amazing when your on the path to WLS that you notice the small things in life. Especailly how others eat their food. I agree with your decision to continue to be private about your upcoming surgery. And even with the knowledge of your friends possible WLS you had the respect to allow her to continue her journey for a healthier life style. No matter what that is something you should be proud of! When I started WLS journey I knew it is something I feel I want to guard with all my heart. Not because I feel I am weak as a person because all of us have face the unsettling judgement of others during weight gain moments of our life. I just want to protect myself and my journey and not be derailed by others comments. I am doing this for me and my family to have a long and healthy life. I lost my father to obesity plan and simple he was very young. So for me I have been on this journey to get healthy and happy with the wonderful tool of VSG also I didnt want my daughter to go through the same pain in her young life. And I have a little cheerleader on my side!! So Happy I did this!! Wishing you the very best! -
Finally broke my 7 week stall!!! To be honest my heart was sinking during that time but i kept on working out and eating right and kicking that nagging voice in my head that said you should just quit.. I didnt and it paid off!!

Funny thing is I started taking my Rx's at the hospital after surgery. I would ask the Dr's office or NP when will be the safe time for you to take your medication just to safe and healthy!
