My insurance denied lapband in 2008. I am currently going through the process again. I have my last required diet meeting on July 17, 2013. I have 100+ pounds to lose and am prepared for a controlled loss of weight. It was recommended that I have the sleeve, but did not want to go that route. I have support here locally; my sister lost 90 pounds on lapband and has kept it off for over 3 years. My husband has made it very clear that he loves me, regardless of my weight, but ironically he's a slender man! my mother and my siblings are fully supportive. I'm looking forward to having support online as well.
