Hello my fellow July 8 sleevers. I have not been on this forum for ages. Possibly because I have regressed and avoided taking ownership of my poor efforts

Hi Lori I had my sleeve in July of 2013. I started at 230 and my lowest was 155. Now I am at 185 and feeling so down. I feel like the opposite happened. All I think about is eating every few hours. I need to go back to basics and find the strength to make things happen.

We are very similar. I was sleeved on July 8, 13 at 227 and 5'4. I am currently at 166, but loosing very few lbs per month now. I too feel great already. My goal is also 140.
Congratulations you look great!

Doing well. I was just wondering about everyone myself. Started at 217 and down to 174. I've had to empty my closet twice and need to do so again. My monthly support group has clothing exchanges too. Feeling good and wishing I had done this sooner!
I too have changed my clothes twice in my closet, what a wonderful feeling. Hoping to do it again and again.
What is your goal to get to?
I would like to get to 140, I am 5'4'' Another 30 more lbs to go, but it seems to be harder now:(.

Any suggestion to help my weight come off. I don't know what else to do. I feel like I am failingDon't feel so bad, my weight loss is similar to yours. As long as we keep heading in the right direction. I know it is sometimes discouraging when you compare to so many others that are loosing so much faster, but every person is different and I certain that you have started to feel the benefits of your progress.

Anyone have any problems with their liver after surgery?
I had some blood work taken due to recent pain on my right side. Results show I have something abnormal. I will be checking in with the doctor tommorow.
Anyone else have any similar symptoms?

Hi Angie,
I am about 10 weeks out and I too felt like I had made a great mistake and felt like I would not be able to live with myself and the choices I made.
This is temporary, after about two weeks I started feeling much better, and now that my clothes are loose and I feel to have more energy, I would do it all over again.
Hang in there, you will feel better soon:)

Thank you for sharing your success.
I was sleeved on July 8, have made good progress but I cannot even dream of what it would be like to hit my goal. I look forward to what things will be like for me 6 months from now, even a year from now.
I can imagine the excitement of your wedding day, in the new you. Congratulations!

I went to Vegas last weekend for a few days, I did not do great. I had chips during the long drive and while I was there, ate some things outside of my routine. When I got back, I had gained about 1.5 lbs, but went right back to my routine and things are flowing as normal now.
One thing I would do differently in a future, is plan my Meals way better. Take sufficient food for a couple of days
One thing I can say, I used to love buffets, now I feel like they are a waste of my money considering the portions
Enjoy your trip and plan well:).

I am almost 2 months post op, and have recently noticed the inside of my legs numb. From the knees down to my ankles, on both legs. Other than this, everything else feels normal.
Any one else experience anything similar?

Strangely enough' date=' I feel supper nauseous when I really need to eat something. I'm good at making sure I eat, but sometimes I get busy and forget. It took me awhile to realize that feeling sick is my bodies new way of signaling the need to eat. (Shrugs)[/quote']Maybe this is it. I notice this during the day, and it does go away when I eat. So it may also be a new way of letting me know that I need food.

Pregnant?I don't think so, and I really hope not. I am 40 with 3 kids already, 19, 15 and 9.

I was sleeved may 12th this year and still experience the occasional nausea. I've taken every drug known to man. I even tried bathing my togue in ginger. The only thing that helps with nausea is eating. If I go to long without eating I can feel the nausea coming on. I keep a Protein shake handy if I'm between meals. I'm convinced that my sleeve doesn't like being empty. This is how I am feeling lately, eating does make it better, even though I may not be feeling hungry.
Thank you both for the advice.

I am 44, lost about 70 lbs and have gained 30 back. I feel embarrassed to have lost control of it all. I hate the feeling of keeping to go up a size. ( life is as beautiful when it was the opposite) Any suggestions on getting Back on track? Has anyone one had success with re finding their way back to weight loss?
