I am in the same boat as you both. I stop eating because I must, but I'm definitely not in the green zone. I've had two fills, no restriction, and am at 5.cc's. I lost 11 pounds on the preop 5 day liquid diet, 5 pounds during the first week post surgery ( on liquids), and since then which is about 7 weeks have only lost about 7 pounds. I am not a happy bandster at all.

Wow!

Mac, I can eat anything! I can't wait till my third fill. I hope to have some better restriction then.

Anyone else banded on 6/26/13??
Heccat2 replied to Rola77's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi! I was banded 6/28/13. It's been 7 weeks and I have lost a total of 24 pounds (preop and postop). I was 206 and now I'm at 182. Yeah! Feeling great! I did go through a plateau four weeks in, but took Mis73's advice, started counting calories, and in two weeks, I lost 4 pounds. -
Newbie Here! One week 9 pounds!!

I agree with Msgal! Weighing yourself every day will drive you crazy! I was weighing myself every day after surgery and had many ups and downs. Now, I follow each monthly challenge and only weigh myself once a week. -
Thanks for sharing your successful year!

Hello fellow bandsters! I am six weeks post op and wanted to know if I can eat a banana?
-
Thanks everyone....

Hazel....I'm on solids, but I was thinking of eating a banana in the morning.

Good morning bandsters! I'm so excited to report that I'm at 183.6. That's 2 pounds in one week! I owe my success to Mis73. She's always advising us to count our calories. Once I started doing that, I began to lose weight again. Thank you Mis73!!!!!!

I forgot to mention, that while I was fixing up the classroom, I did not eat anything from 8:00 am - 5:00 or later. Since I know that is not good, I pre-planned for tomorrow by packing 2 bottles of water, a pack of Melba toast, and some tuna. I want to make sure that I am eating.

Msapp I can relate. I teach third grade math and science. Today, I started cleaning and organizing my classroom. Students return on August 19th. Remember, not eating isn't healthy, ok? Try your best to get something in. I know that I am going to purchase Protein shakes to take to work. If I am having "one of those days" I'll grab one and go.

Wow! Amazing difference!

I say: once in a while and in moderation..... We still have to enjoy our lives. -
Guy, sorry....I eat pizza and pasta!

N2win I don't think that 1/2 cup of food is enough for ANYBODY. That might only work for those in the green zone and people with good restriction. I know, because I could never just eat 1/2 cup of food. Most threads that I read, people talk about 1-1 1/2 cup of food, but I have never heard anybody say 1/2.

Hi BigOBoy! You made me crack up! Lol First, I think that the idea of eating small bites and chewing a lot is to prevent stuck episodes. Second, I do not think you should be eating all that food, just because you could. Obviously, you are not in the green zone, and neither am I, but the difference is that I have portion control. I control how much I eat even though I'm not in the green zone and I could eat large amounts of anything. I am thankful for this forum and everyone, including you, because we need to learn from each other. I think that being in the yellow zone is like being in bandster hell. Please try your best to eat small portions. I use the tiniest bowl In the house. It does not hold more than 1 1/2-2 cups of food. In addition, since being banded almost six weeks ago, I have never cheated with any bad foods. It's already hard enough for me to lose weight. I refuse to let myself jeopardize the purpose for getting banded. You should do the same. Good luck.

First fill: 1.5cc Second fill: 2.5 Total: 4.0 (Yellow Zone!) = No restriction! Praying on third fill.....September 9th.

I'm feeling frustrated!

Sandy, I'm going through the exact same thing. I don't understand it. Some people say that the pounds are "melting away" unfortunately, that is not happening wit.h mr no matter how hard I try.

LeeB Thanks for always making me laugh!

Congratulations! You look great! As for me, I don't know what's happening. I'm not losing weight. I'm stuck at 185.
