  1. I had LapBand surgery in September of 2013 and I lost a total of 24 pounds and gained back 10. I am aware that I contributed to the fail but I am feeling like the discomfort I feel when I eat only makes me mad and discouraged. I am going to see my doctor to inquire about revision to the sleeve. Love your post!
  2. Wow, great job. I think I will take some pictures when I get home and see if I see a difference.
  3. I literally crave sweets all day and i have a feeling it has something to do with all the aspartame and splenda I've been eating and drinking. I have a fill tomorrow and I think I'm going to use this opportunity to go clean and detox from carbs. Also i am going to start tracking on my fitness pal so I don't have to guess on how many calories i am eating. This is going to take more work than I thought but in the end it is worth it. Is anyone else craving carbs like crazy?

    Emotional

Hi..your not alone..i am 5 weeks out and have gained a few pounds. I have been reading tons of posts trying to figure this out. I am still confused and eating almost the same way as before the surgery. I hear that we should be eating 1200 calories and i am too hungry for that. I also hear a lot about how the band is supposed to work. Hang in there though. No matter how hard or complicated.....this must work.

The Lap Band is NOT About Restriction

Well i hope this works for me because i really need the type of restriction that forces me to stop eating. I start off great..but end badly.. Sometimes i dont even realize i am eating...its just something i do during commercials. There is only one therapist in my town and she is pretty busy because she also runs a wolf preserve. I guess i will have to figure something out...because i refuse to ho under the knife unless it is an emergency.

The Lap Band is NOT About Restriction

So does this mean that if you are an emotional eater...the band is not for you? I think that the fact that many cant have bread is some type of restriction.

    What Are You Reading?

Almost finished reading the Immortal life of Henrietta Lacks. Also known as HeLa. I love this true story that brings up so many emotions. I wish the book can go on forever and i keep googling the family looking for pictures.

    Pre-Op Diet...Help!!!

Sugar free jello counts as a clear liquid. Hang in there....I practically lived at the mall just window shopping and dreaming of the nice styles i will be wearing soon.

    Can anyone have bread?

No.... in some of the paperwork I've seen from the Doc's office it said no bread, rice and etc. I am still 1.5 weeks post op and I am mourning anything that is not liquid but I was curious how others can tolerate bread. Can you eat a sandwich, burger or dinner roll. I definately want to avoid anything getting stuck when I start regular food. Also, I am plannin my hubby's b-day party in 3 weeks and I am planning the menu around what I can eat (little do they know),
  10. Hello, I have been mourning the loss of bread in my diet and I am wondering if there is anybody who can tolerate bread and what kind. Also, what about crackers?
