It's a pedometer. I have to fitbit flex which is like a bracelet. I can plug it in the computer and sync it or it syncs through Bluetooth on my phone. It has an alarm that will vibrate to wake me. I can also tap it at bedtime and it monitors my sleep. It tells if I was awake or restless during the night, how many times and for how long. I love it. It's $99, so it is pricey for a pedometer. Fitbit offers other pedometers that are cheaper but just as good. I went with the flex because of the bracelet.

What Was Your Starting Weight?
Doing It 4 Them replied to Mid West's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was 372 in April (my highest) and decided to start dieting before surgery. Today I'm 328. I'm on my 2 week diet now and surgery will be Oct. 11. -
Fat and Sugar Limit?
Doing It 4 Them replied to katie206's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Dannon Light & Fit greek yogurt Blends are amazing!! I love the banana cream. It has 80 calories, 7 grams of sugar and 12 grams of protein. It comes in a 5.3 ounce container. They have banana cream, key lime, strawberry banana, and a vanilla. There may be more but I haven't noticed them. I've only tried the strawberry banana and the banana cream (my fave so far.) I've found them at Walmart and they are 1 each. A little higher than some but good. -
Dark/thick skin
Doing It 4 Them replied to sawyersmommy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Have you tried googling it? A friend's daughter has dark rings under her neck. I don't know if she has it other places. I thought it has something to do with diabetes. Not sure... Hopefully it will go away after surgery. -

My husband has several bags of this and I've asked my NUT about using them. She didn't recommend it because it only had 12 grams of Protein. She said I would have to drink more to get in my daily protein. She also said the after taste is worse in powders with higher protein. I also have to make sure it's 100% whey. Have you asked your NUT for their opinion ? -

I have a couple Twisted Teas in my fridge but I feel guilty when I drink one cause it's 220 calories lol. -
Thank you. I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. I've told everyone at work that I'm having the surgery because I figured that would stop some of the gossiping lol. But I've worked with these people for 25 yrs so I know it wont stop it LOL. But most of them mean well.

I haven't had surgery yet but I KNOW this will happen with everything I eat at work. I work with a whole building of busy bodies.

Chelle - I'm doing the same thing about restaurants. There are 2 new places I haven't tried yet, The Flying Pig and Kickback Jacks. There's also a place that makes really good baked macaroni and cheese. But I'm holding out and went to Panera Bread for a healthy salad and soup. I only ate my salad and I'm already looking forward to my soup later. I'm trying to be strong lol. I start my pre op diet Friday. I stopped carbonated drinks in April. I'm surprised I don't want to feel the burn of one last coke lol. Good luck! -

Had my endoscopy today. Easy peasy. My BP was 113/50.. That was before they mellowed me out with drugs lol. I don't remember anything after they put my mouth guard in lol. On my way home for a nice little nap now. -

You are doing pretty damn good! Keep up the good work!

My diet sounds more like TurnThePage's diet. I've heard that not all Drs have the same diet.

Congrats on the weight loss so far! That's great for a month!

I had my nutrition class Thursday. WOW! So much stuff to take in! The Dr told us to take notes, I think I was the only one that did lol. I wanted to make sure i didnt miss anything. I had so much on my mind that I only slept 2 hours that night. Insurance approved me in 48 hours and they called yesterday with a surgery date of Oct 11. I'm definitely nervous buy very excited. I go Monday for a physical with the surgeon and go back Tuesday for my endoscopy. Then my 2 week pre-op diet of 2 shakes and a sensible dinner. I'm excited about having it in October. I thought i would be in November. I should be well enough to enjoy some Black Friday shopping! I would be more upset missing Black Friday shopping than I would be missing Thanksgiving dinner! LOL Congrats to all the Oct losers! -

Psyc evaluation freaking out
Doing It 4 Them replied to AshWalker's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my psych eval on the 15th. It was the main thing I was worried about lol. I talked to her for about 30 - 45 minutes and was very comfortable and honest with her. She was really nice and put me at ease. She told me at the end that she was pretty sure she wouldn't need to set up another appointment with me unless I wanted to see her again. She said I seemed stable, which was surprising lol. I had 176 online questions. There was a lot of suicide, drinking and drug questions. A lot of stupid questions also. It was easy. Just be honest and quit worrying. I passed, so there's hope for you too. LOL
