Hey Vicki, how did it go with your Dr when you called? They removed my gtube tube yesterday. I'm glad it's gone but it was an experience having it removed. I suggest you take a pain pill before they remove it. I didn't, like a dummy, but I was driving myself. It was better after a few minutes, but it was intense when they did it. Kinda of a weird burning sensation. The hole has already started trying to close. I don't think it will take long before it heals. I hope your stomach is feeling better. : ) -

Kcamp - Im sorry. I hope they find out what's going on. It sounds like you are having a awful time. -
It blows my mind that the patients walk into the operating room and climb on the table themselves. I would be a nervous wreck and shaking the whole time. I'm glad I was knocked out before I made it to the operating room lol. All I remember was someone saying we are going to give you something to relax.

I think that was Penny... Not sure though. She did have a terrible attitude! Hopefully she got her act together eventually. -

I'm sorry to hear you are having pain. Good luck with the Dr today. I hope the next 2 weeks go by fast for you. . I got mine stuck on a kitchen drawer and it pulled a little over an inch and hurt like crazy. I feel for you. Is your skin sensitive where the bandage is? My stomach has broken out in a rash close to the bandage. I changed the bandage last night after my shower and my skin was burning under it. The only thing that gave it relief was blowing on it. -
I found Fat Doctor on YouTube. I like that they show them a few months after also.

It's a feeding tube they leave in one of your incisions. It has a rubber on the end and we put like a funnel in the end of it when we use it. It's connected to your old stomach. We can crush meds and pour it in followed with water. I poured my protein shakes that I couldn't stand the taste of after surgery. I also poured my liquid pain meds in it. The tube itself is a pain in the butt. But I understand the reasoning behind it. My Dr only uses them for RNY patients. It does kinda feel like it's pulling sometimes when I stand up. I hunch over for a few seconds at first. Most Drs do not use them but I'm glad I had one. I would never had gotten my protein in the past few weeks if I didn't have it. I was worried about getting it out because I'm a wussy. Lol. I asked my Dr's assistant, who also had RNY if it hurt. She said its a little bit of a burning sensation that may last 20 minutes after it's pulled out and was a 3 to 4 on a pain scale. I saved 2 of my pain pills just in case lol. She told me that I'll be able to drive myself to get it done. That put my mind to ease. I know they wouldn't let me drive myself if it was bad. -

I'm cleared for shrimp this upcoming week. I can't wait! : ) I've been lucky with chicken and fish. No problem with either as long as I eat between 2 - 2 1/2 ozs. I ate a 3 oz portion one night and paid for it with pain in the center of my chest for awhile. I stick to my portion size now, no matter how good it tastes. Lol -

How much longer before you get your gtube out! I get mine out on Tuesday. I was suppose to get it out last week but my Dr wanted to make sure I was getting all my protein in without using it. He said he didn't want to take it out and I end up in the hospital. I hope you feel better. -

Sorry, I thought I had typed Target. My hubby found them at the grocery store also but Target is the cheapest place. I believe they were in the paper plate area. -

I bought 2 oz disposable containers with lids to help with my serving sizes. They are $2.99 for a pack of 50. I use them for everything. It helps a lot with portion control. -
I'll have to look for that show.

How many Ozs is a piece? I thought I could eat the tilipia portion because it was 3 oz but I started getting pain in the middle of my chest and was uncomfortable for awhile. Now I try to make sure my portions are no more than 2 1/2 Ozs no matter how good it tastes. -

I was cleared last week. 2% reduce fat sargento cheese sticks Gordon's Grilled Tiilapia. (These are 3 oz portions. One portion was too much for me.) My nutritionist said I could have deli meat but it has to be Boar's Head. I've tried the Jerk turkey breast and oven roasted beef. Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt John Soul's fajita chicken strips Hebrew National 97% fat free hot dogs These are the only things I've tried so far. I can have shrimp and crab next week. I'm looking forward to next week lol. Good luck! Just take your time eating and enjoy this new stage. -

It definitely gets better. I had a rough time until the 4th week. I just started feeling better last Tuesday. I had trouble with dizzy spells and so tired all the time. I'll be 5 weeks Friday. I went back to work today and oh my gosh it was a rough day! I hope tomorrow is better. Hang in there!
