Thank you Metalband. And you're right. It makes you thankful for a life without struggle... Funny thing happened today. TOM came today... in full force...but something made me go upstairs and weigh. I kinda figured.. I ate like a pig with a tape worm.. I'm already in a funky mood.. lets go see the damage. After the scale jumped to 230 again... it was down today to 226...even with all the eating and TOM. Not bad.

Good morning all.. Its been a couple days since I've posted. Yesterday was a bad day from the start.. have you ever had one of those days where you got out of bed and could just sense that it was going to be bad? That was yesterday for me. Work was bad. Everything went wrong. I came home and got a response card back from my Dad's best friend (who has had 2 heart attacks in the past month)...they can not attend the wedding... I understand but I was really looking forward to seeing them there... he has always been like a 2nd father to me. Then the worst... I had an email from an old friend I used to work with..to call her..and it was important. Her 19 year old daughter committed suicide on Sunday night in the treatment halfway house she has lived in for the past few months. Her daughter and I had alot in common.. have gone thru the same struggles and somehow I survived it all...and she did not. That haunts me. I'm devastated. She told me she went to see her that night and just held her while she cried. She told her mother she could no longer stop the voices inside her head...and she just looked worn out. She fought as hard as she could, for as long as she could and just could no longer fight. Needless to say, my emotional eating has kicked in.

I've heard all about this HUGE needle they use for the cortisone shots... Xanax will be my friend that day!!

WHOO HOO!! WAY TO GO!!!! Surgery is a last resort.. apparently they treat it with cortisone shots first..

I got some discouraging news today... I may have heel spurs. I've been dealing with an ache in my right foot since August..and have been waiting for it to go away... well, it hasnt..and now I have an appointment with my foot Dr. on the 24th.

I thought I'd be much closer to ONEderland than I am.. but I'm still happy for every ounce that I lose!!

I was just thinking.. ya know what I can't wait to do?!?! Take one of those "after" pictures... all of me... both legs..standing in one pantleg of the size 20 jeans I once had to squeeze myself into!! Who else is up for it?!?! Come on goal!!!

Has anyone else noticed that they are observing other's eating habits more closely now after being banded? I've noticed how much people eat and how quickly they eat... I eat lunch with 2 morbidly obese people. One guy I've known for 9 years or so and has always been very large. His health is awful (high BP, high cholesterol and diabetes among everything else). Yesterday I watched as he ate a huge pepperoni and sausage calzone AND a large bowl of soup. He worries me because for as long as I've known him his health has been bad...and seeing him eat this way for so long makes me worry that he will only get worse. Everyday he has to hunt all over the floor for a chair he can sit in that will not hurt his legs. Another women I sit with eats horrible and is also big...everyday as she's eating she says "now I know I shouldnt eat this".. and I wonder..... Then why do you eat it? I'm really trying not to criticize their habits... but it really makes me wonder why they do not take measures to improve their health..

Thanks everyone!! I've decided to wait on the fill.. I had a major slime situation today after work.. I came home and grabbed a quick snack after work and before going to my daughter's field hockey game. SO.. apparently I still have restriction...just the weight isnt going anywhere.

The dress fit perfect .. minus being 4 inches too long. So I really dont want to risk it being too big if I lose too much more. Oh, what a mess.. hopefully they'll be able to do something with that gown!!

Sandra.. I think we are all guilty of that "tough it out" plan. Poor thing.. I hope he gets better soon!! The wedding is 11/10. How is your dress ordeal coming along??

OMG Sandra.. I'm so sorry!! How is your son now? I'm starting to think I should go back to the Dr for a small fill.. TINY FILL! I don't want to be too tight.. but here is my dilemma: At my first gown fitting, my dress fit perfect..and I'm afraid if i drop too much more before the wedding, it'll be lose and I really don't have the $$$ to have it altered again.. plus I would have to pay a rush fee. At this time I feel restriction.. but as we speak I'm able to eat an entire Lean Cuisine pannini with no problem at all.. I was on a plateau for weeks.. the scale moved a bit.. but has jumped back up a pound. I'm afraid if I get the fill I will lose too much to fit into the dress... not to mention I don't want to have issues with eating while at the wedding or the honeymoon!

It's been so quiet on here!!! Where is everyone???? I bought a pair of size 16 dress pants 2 years ago from LB... never wore them... I had just lost a good amount of weight and tried on the 18's and they were too big.. so in a rush I just grabbed the 16's and bought them without trying them on..got them home and they were too tight.. so they've sat in my closet since them. I tried them on a couple days ago and I can get them up, zipped and buttoned.. but they're still a little too tight to wear out. I have now made those pants my October goal.

Depending on who you ask... I had an NSV today. I needed new bras and was going to treat myself to some cute Victoria's Secret bras since I am now of a size that can be bought in that store..36 DD!! Down from 40 DDD..(like I said.. NSV depending on who you ask.. the fiance isnt extremely happy that my "girls" have gotten smaller.. but I'm happy).. After coming to my senses about paying $51 for a bra.. I decided to walk around the mall and ended up shopping on the clearance rack at LB.. I got 4 bras for $28!! Twinmommy- Try starting a thread about paying it forward.. if the May girls are unable to use your clothing, I'm sure someone out there most certainly can!

The scale is moving again!!! WHOO HOO!!! I'm now officially in the 220's!! Before TOM came I jumped up 3lbs to 233 and this morning I was 228!! WHOO HOO!! I'm Very VERY HAPPY about this! I was starting to think that this was the end of the road for me with the weight loss! On another note, I'm a bit irritated.. I dropped my car off last night for an appointment to fix a window at 7:30am. I call and they tell me that it prob wont be ready for pick up until after noon! I have SO much to do today... So, it looks like I'm giving my mom a ride to work..then just using her car today.

Twinmommy.. .I use photobucket.com. You upload your pics onto there and they put them in the correct format to post onto message boards. Very easy. Let me know if you need help... Also I mailed the pants on Monday!! You should be getting them soon! Sandra- I feel for you.. I had the TOM from hell... I ate everything in sight.. no water and no exercise. I'll weigh in a little later on this morning..

I agree with you guys.. eating is more of a chore now. And the fear of a public PB is really making me watch what I eat when I'm at work or out to eat!! My ENT called me back... and called in an antibiotic, decongestants and pain meds for me. Even after taking all the meds I was still unable to get comfortable enough to sleep last night....AND I have my aunt's wedding today... I'd much rather stay home in bed!!

Thanks... I had to cut work short today.. I just couldnt deal with the pain anymore.. I came home and paged my ENT.. hopefully he will call soon.

I cant win... not only do I have the TOM from hell... but now I caught a cold that is completely kicking my @ss!!! AND in true Melissa form... the cold is going directly to my ear. I've had ear infections my whole life (several surgeries, tubes..even had my one ear drum replaced)... I've been infection free for almost 16 months... but its come back :sick Twinmommy- I haven't shipped the pants just yet.. I'm shooting for Monday.

TOM finally came...ten times worse than usual..I cant hardly function.. I put on pants this morning that are normally loose.. well.. they were clinging to my calves!!! I'M MISERABLE!! UGH!

Sandra- try googling the dress style and size.. or look on ebay.. you may have better luck with it that way.. just a thought. I'm also in need of some size 16 pants if anyone is looking to get rid of any!
