Approved!!! Woohoo!!!
Melissa S replied to chimboree26's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm very excited for you... I have empire BCBS of DE and I'm still waiting for my approval ... or for any word at all. Everything was sent to them about a week and a half ago. I sent them my gym billing records for the past year and a half for proof of my attempt to lose weight... HOPEFULLY that'll work. -
Upon hearing this I became scared and sick to my stomach... my fiance was supposed to report to Ft. Dix on Thursday for training. His orders were canceled on Sunday due to an administration issue. Thankfully they caught these b@sterds before they had a chance to do real damage.

I have a question for my fellow May Bandsters.... ... I had a dream... more like a nightmare last night - I was banded..ate something and started vomiting VIOLENTLY... This dream was very strange to me for 2 reasons... 1) I never vomit, even when ill... maybe once in the past 5 years.. and 2) I don't feel the least bit nervous about my upcoming date. Have you had similar dreams? Do you think it may be some sort of subconscious anxiety?

I had my preplanned cheat this weekend... I drove to Brigantine, NJ to visit a friend on Friday... we walked for prob about an hour total..had lunch and coffee... Saturday I did the "Cinco De Mayo" thing.. had 2 margaritas and a chicken quesidilla. Back on the wagon today with a fat free caramel macchiato and chocolate protein shake (so far). I have a 2:45 appointment for my pre op EKG. Will also have my bloodwork done tomorrow. I've been very emotional lately.. TOM should be arriving at anytime.. not fun.

ragdoll, that sounds exactly like what i just emailed to a good friend of mine... i told her: "sometimes its hard for me to look back and wonder how i allowed myself to gain so much weight. it really does sneak up on you. i mean, i know i grew out of my clothes, and i had more aches and pains... i remember once i lost like 60 lbs and really liked the way i looked...and vowed never to allow myself to get that big again.... well, i got bigger and then some. i know i have major body image issues. i almost hate to look in a full length mirror. but hopefully with time i'll start feeling better about myself. its such a struggle" i was just in the orthodontist office with my daughter this morning and caught a glimpse of myself in his mirror... needless to say... i did a little scoot to the right just so i didnt see myself. :cry

Hi Marie... I'm Melissa from New Castle...I will be banded by Dr. Peters on 5/14 (if BCBS EVER gives us an answer!!). I absolutely love Dr Peters... he's a RIOT!! -

OK, this has NEVER happened to me before. I started my own PreOp diet (2 Protein shakes, 1 "healthy" meal per day) on Monday. As of now (12:41pm) I'm not hungry. I wasnt really hungry this morning either. I had 1 Protein shake for Breakfast and I'm working on my other for lunch... and I'm slowly sipping...not really hungry..only drinking it so I don't feel dizzy later. This happened yesterday too. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm usually always hungry... this is SO not like me.

'scuse me, but I dont know about the rest of the world, but I dont wear my capris on my friggin head.. .they're called bottoms for a reason!!!! sadly, I completely fell in LOVE with one pair of capris and kept them.

Macysgranny.... You're doing the right thing by staying away from the broth... or anything with loads of sodium... I would double check with your Dr about the meds....make sure they arent on the list of meds to stop taking.... At one time my BP was 192/97.... I started walking daily and today it was 110/78. I was told it was most definitely due to my recent exercise... So...my advise... go low sodium, lots of water, daily exercise (even if only 10 minutes), and try to relax...
