CBC - Complete blood count... will tell the dr your red blood cell count, white blood cell count, platelets, hemoglobin, hematocrit... most common blood test ordered.. very basic.. CMP - Comprehensive Metabolic Panel - will tell the dr your glucose (sugar), will also check basic kidney function as well as liver function...you may also hear this called a SMA12 or CHEM 12... also very basic and commonly ordered. Hemoglobin A1C - Used to monitor glucose levels in diabetics. Sometimes ordered when you may be a borderline diabetic.. TSH - Thyroid Stimulating Hormone ... monitors your thyroid function.. very common test as well.. Fasting Lipid Panel- Cholesterol panel.. will give your total cholesterol, LDL, HDL (good and bad cholesterol), triglycerides... Iron - Checks for anemia TIBC - Stands for total iron binding capacity.. normally ordered in combo with iron. Ferritin- Ordered to see how much iron your body has stored for use...again normally ordered with iron and TIBC. Phosporus- Checks for levels.. deficiencies are normally only seen with malnutrition and alcoholism... Magnesium- Checks for levels..deficiencies normally seen with malnutrition, diarrhea and alcoholism Thiamin (Vitamin B-1)- Checks for levels...same as above Vitamin B-12- Checks for levels.. same as above Zinc- Checks for levels RBC Folate- Used to help diagnose the cause of anemia 25-Hydroxy Vitamin D- Checks for possible vitamin d deficiency PTH- Parathyroid Hormone- ordered to diagnose the cause of high or low Calcium level. All are very common tests... you WILL need to fast 10-12 hours prior to the testing...

Thank you ladies.. As of the 28th he is officially out of the military. I was able to frame all of his certificates, awards and badges..tomorrow I'll work on hanging them. It all turned out really nice and he really liked everything. I got another major headache again today.... this has been going on for about a week now and I think its time to call the Dr. I think it may be from stress.

WAY TO GO SANDRA!!!!! Well, I got my official rejection letter from the job I wanted SO bad. I had a feeling it was coming.. but I just dont understand... they're asking for 0-2 years fraud experience.. I HAVE FOUR + YEARS!! but I DO have a job now... hopefully it works out well. I'm on a mission today ... to organize our room.. which includes taking all of my fiance's certificates and awards from the Army..frame them and hang them up. He's working today so hopefully it'll be a nice surprise to him. As much as I HATE the war and what its done to him.. I'm very VERY proud of his accomplishments.

You're right. I was able to switch my schedule last year and make it to all of her home games..and one away game. I couldnt imagine missing her games this year. She makes me so proud!

Good morning ladies... Well.. I got a job... not THE job (didnt hear anything back yet)... but I did get a long term temp job processing passports... pay isnt that bad...hours are great (7-3:30... so I'll still be able to make my daughter's field hockey games). I had my protein shake this morning... trying to be good... I havent weighed in a week due to TOM... hopefully I'll get the courage to weigh this weekend!

Tracy... I was in a situation like yours... but with my fiance's insurance he could add me and my daughter as a domestic partner (of same sex or opposite sex..it did not matter)... the cost and coverage was the same as if we were already married. Does your BCBS have the same deal? My previous employer had CRAP insurance.. very expensive with hardly any coverage... his insurance is much cheaper and covers much more... He added us both in January with no problems. Now... we also had an issue with trying to use his VA loan to get a better mortgage... but sadly we do have to be married to use that... so we opted to just wait it out.. save money and then get a house...

Sandra- I'm taking my own advice and going on liquids for at least 24 hours. Your vibes must be coming my way!!! It started yesterday around lunchtime when I couldnt get much down... then last night during dinner something got stuck and I slimmed and PB'd for hours then it turned into vomiting... finally I got a cup of SF decaf international coffee and it eased everything thru. OMG.. I felt awful. I dont know if its TOM or just delayed restriction... Anyhow.. are you feeling better today?

Sandra .. I've heard that once this starts happening to go back on liquids for a day. That should give your stomach time to settle down. Sometimes the PB'ing can irritate it.. sometimes causing swelling, which in turn will cause more PB'ing .... its a cycle. If you try liquids for a day that should do the trick.

Renee- I did quit my job at a well known national laboratory back in March.. I was having some severe health problems due to the stress that came along with the job. For a long time I dealt with the stress... one day I had to be rushed to the ER due to chest pains and shortness of breath...that was IT! I told them I needed to take it easy or I had to go... my BP was sky high, I had migranes, not sleeping, IBS like crazy..and the last week I was vomiting every day. 2 weeks after the chest pain ordeal they came down on me twice as hard.. I told them thats it..I'm out! I had my surgery 5/14 and started looking for a job about a month after that.. Money is tight..very tight but I dont regret leaving. I talked to a previous co worker and was told that after I left 3 others had to be carried out on stretchers with chest pains!

Thank you SOOO much!! My fellow May Bandsters are the best!! Thank you so much for thinking of me. I'm really hoping things work out with this job. TOM is here and I've been bad.. really bad.. Not exercising and eating like a pig with a tape worm!! I PB'd on a piece of chicken last night during dinner..then just gave up. I'm still housesitting for a couple more days and there is a treadmill sitting right down stairs.. I HAVE NO EXCUSE!! Sandra- I was told no ab work for 3 months... guess I should get started, huh?? haha.. I started tanning last week (I know, I know.. not good for my skin...) and I feel so much better about myself. I got out an old pair of casual pants I havent worn for almost 2 years..and they're too big on me...but they're great for days like today... when TOM is here, I'm bloated...its rainy and dreary out....

WAY TO GO!!! I havent tried to wakeboard/water ski snow ski or snowboard in YEARS... thats SO exciting!! Its been a laaazzzzyyy day here today.. its been raining since I got up this morning. We went out and walked the mall for a bit then just came home. Interview is tomorrow morning...then I have to take my daughter to get her link to the outside world looked at.. aka cell phone fixed. The queen of all drama called me all upset because the keys on her phone wont work..so she cant check her messages or call anyone... cant have that can we?!? haha...

And.. the interview went well (don't want to jinx myself by saying too much).. I have to go back on Monday for another interview.

Wenjea- yes, BP will increase with pain.. or any other kind of stress on your body (mental and physical!!) take it easy for a few days! Mini- OMG.. yes, Jordan (my daughter) is back to her old 12 year old self... I get a text message from her after my interview asking if her friend could stay over another night. I get home and she asks for $ to walk up to the local pizza place, asks if I can give her a ride to the mall..... yup. back to the old Jordan. Sandra- Yup, I'm short.. 5'2... as short as I am wide! HA! I bought the 16's. I did find a short size...the regular ones were honestly like 8 inches too long! My wedding gown has to be hemmed like 5+ inches! And heels?? No can do... I'm not graceful by any means.. and broke my left foot 2 years ago.. since then its hard to find even a cute flat that wont hurt me.

Wenjea- I cant imagine how I'll feel when she goes away for college!! Makes me emotional just thinking about it. however.. she is back the the old kid I know... we were home for about an hour and she took off to her friends house up the street..and stayed there swimming and playing all day. Last night was SO frustraiting. I went back to Penny's to find a new suit jacket b/c the only one I have is HUGE on me.. they are having a sale buy one get one for $1... so I tried on pants.. they fit great.. size 16 but were about 13 inches TOO long!!...and didint have short sizes.. so I went to the petite section.. couldnt even get them up over my reer.. I must have tried on 15 pairs of pants... finally found ones that would work. I got a suit (jacket and pants) 2 nice sweater tops and a handbang for our cousin for her bday this weekend.. only spent $105.. not bad.

I left the house this morning at 6am and I now have my little girl back!! I was so excited to see her!! I hugged her for what seemed to be 10 minutes (which is a LLOOONNGGG time in a pre teens life..haha..

Dori- I just colored my hair last night.. so far so good... I too was in need.. very overdue for my color! I also got waxed this morning... I had eyebrows that closely resembled those of that kid Kevin from the Backstreet boys! HA!... we wont even talk about how bad my mustache was! HAHA!! Gosh I love getting older... if the chin hair gets any worse I'll be able to join ZZ Top!!

Vegas sounds awesome.... but unless we hit the lottery I doubt I'll be able to attend... the family is planning on visiting Bosnia next spring (where my fiance is from) NSV - I dropped off my rings today to be resized..from a 7 down to a 5.5! but if there is any such thing as a reverse NSV - I HATE MY FAT ARMS! I bought 3 new dress tops (on clearance at JC Pennys for $7 each)... the short sleeves are too tight around my fat arms.. so I have to unbutton the sleeves all the way.. ugh! I did speak to my hair dresser (who is also a good friend of mine) about the hair loss.. she said sadly there is nothing that can be done. She said she sees it with alot of her clients and it will slow down...but said she could always give me a weave! HA!

Thank you Sandra! I finally picked up my wedding gown today. Another NSV... I have to go to the jewelery store in the next couple of days to have my engagement ring and my wedding band resized.. I can now fit my ring on my thumb!! haha.. I've made the yummiest lunch ... cup of FF refried beans, a sprinkle of cheddar cheese, couple squirts of hot sauce and a dab of sour cream! mmm...and about 20g of protein!

Hey ladies (and guys...not sure if we have any guys.. but anyway..) Get this one... I got a call today for an interview.. you'll never guess who.. Haha...yup.. the SAME fraud position I interviewed for a few days ago... When I interviewed for it before it was via a temp placement agency (the position is temp to perm)... this interview is directly with the bank!! Ugh.. wish me LUCK.. LOTS OF LUCK!!! I NEED IT DESPERATELY!!! The interview is this Friday! Yes, Seven Jeans (also known as Seven for all mankind) are wonderful.. but are a little pricey..they are made with women who have curves.. they range from small to plus sizes..and LB does carry them.
