Now that I got your attention :confused:. I am having problems with feeling full in the large part of my stomac.. I am feeling restriction when I eat but the large part of my stomac is so empty and I am hungry all the time. I am aproching my second year aniversary and I am down 70 lbs. I feel great but I am always hungry. Is there anyone else out there that has had this problem. I am looking into getting another fill but I do not think that this is the answere for this problem since I do have restriction. I eat the right amount of protien and eat it first of course. when I am full up top the bottom is still craving. Any help would be great.

Hi all I will be in brown county on Nov. 16th 17th and 18th. at golden triangle outfitters on a amazing hunting trip . I am looking for a place to hunt on private land out their next year that is a lot cheaper than the 3,600 I am spending this year. If anyone has land or a family memeber with land that is looking for another hunter please respond. I was banded on June 20th this year and I am down 51lbs so far and I am looking forward to hunting this year being more mobile. I am only 39 and the band was the best thing for my health. Hey all, its been 7 weeks since surgery and got my first fill on wed. so far I am down 54 lbs Doc wasn't sure if he was going to fill this time . But I talked him into it . He said he would like things to slow down on the weight loss . 2 lbs a week well I lost 3lbs thursday in this heat . All in all everything has been fine . I had no complications yet and my band is my new best friend . I am counting all the money I am saving from not going to mcdonalds burgerking and wendys.( well I do eat wendys chili it goes down great) Hope is all well for everybody out their Larry pre op 351 today 297 lost 54 with 40 more to go

HEY GUYS what is going on , I was banded on june 20th . One month ago yesterday. I lost 42lbs this month and have not had a fill yet. This band thing is really working for me. I have restriction so I think, Because I can not eat all I want . I am having no trouble at all with my menue. Everything seems to go down great but in small portions. That is what I like the best about the band . I can still be human but smaller portions is where it is at . I go for my first fill on Aug. 8th . I don't know if he will fill that day or not because I am doing so well. But I say hell lets get this pary really started and fill me up so the pounds slid off !! ( i have a old hunting coat I would love to wear and it is a little tight ) So hopfully I will be sized right before november. Larry Pre 351 lbs op day 342 lbs 6/20/07 today 311 lbs 7/22/07

Well had my surgery on wed the 20th and I survived !!! Was in one day and out the next, it was like a drive thru window. It has only been 4 1/2 days and I have to venture back to work . The gas is almost gone and I am feeling great . Had my first full liqiude this morning !1/2 of a slim fast it felt great in my mouth but now I am real full . Larry

BDAGUY hOW MUCH DID YOU LOSE BEFORE SURGERY ? I am on the liquide stage now and lost ten lbs in 6 days how much more should I lose before i get banded. How are you feeling now are you still in discomfort? can you walk around with now problem ?

Bender congradulation on chosing this site. look in the mirror !! look at your stomac and then turn a round and look at your back side. that is why you are here . We are all here together and of course we are all hungry. The band will not stop the hunger it will just help control your eating portions. Your food choices have to change also. I am hungry 24 hours a day so you are not alone in that aspect. I will be banded on the 20th in six days from now, so I am now on the liquide diet part and I don't know if it is hunger I feel or just chewing withdraw. I miss food already but I am looking forward to the future, I am going to have a real hard time this weekend my son has a soccer tournament out of state and I will be away from home for three days and I have to pack a cooler for all my liquides. while ever body else is out eating I will have a protien shake and take a walk. :help: I have my surgery date set for June 20th-07 and am having a problem quiting smoking. The doc said if their is any nicotine in my system at the pre admin testing they will cancel the surgery. The question is how long does nicotine stay in you system ? can I stop now and be ok or should I postpone my date untill I officaily quite? Givind up food and also smoking is going to be very hard for me. I am not looking for pitty. It is a problem that I have to deal with. I know smoking is not good for me but I would like to stop one thing at a time. So if anyone can give me some info on how long nicotine stays in my system I would gldly thank you

Great Chris Keep up the good work !! i got my pre op on monday , than I have to start the liquide diet . What a shocker to stop eating solids, The 20th is comming fast ( can't wait for the summer speedo on the beach) lol. Keep us posted on your progress Larry

Just left the health food store !! the one with all those fancy pictures of the 1% of this country with the 6 pack abs and women with tight butts. I talk to the lady behind the counter and she said to stop smoking at least three days before the urin test and drink nonstop glasses of cranberry juice. She said that the cranberry juice would flush out all the toxins from the nicotine in my urin. well I am just not going to not buy a pack of smokes after today and see what happens. If the doc finds nicotine im my urin in two weeks I will just say hey you got your money now start cutting and banding !! :omg:

I know I need to stop smoking just like I have to look both ways when I cross the road . I enjoy smoking and I don't feel the need to have to quite for a doctor with a power strugle. If some doc's say its ok why do others say their is not . I am going to a health food store today to see if their is anything I can take or use to mask the nicotine. I know body builders take stuff to mask steroids so maybe something is out their to cleanse my urin. If I know how long nicotine stays in my system then I could just stop for a couple of days and then I would be good. And then maybe I would never go back smoking but for now I'm up the nicotine creek with out A light !! So tell me something good like it only stays in my system for 72 hours would be great Thank you for all the help Larry

Jake I'm getting it done in the Alantic city hospital. I know it is short notice but they have a lap band support group on Wed. may 9th at 6:30 pm. in Egg harbor twp. I will be their I live about a hour away . larry

thanks johnyray and maury97211 for your replys. I am realy looking forward to the date but very nervis . I can come to terms with the six week waite but wow what a long time to wants something. I am now looking forward to the long hall .

Just got my surg. date set for June 20th. I have been going at this since Jan. finaly everything got aproved . How did you feel when you got your date ? releif or worried ? It realy hasn't set in yet but I keep thinking of my last supper. :cry I am trying to keep my mind off of this because it is something I realy want. I went this far and not turning back . Thank you I was very concernd about that . Like it was the end of the wold . The doc. is cutting my stomac open inserting a device and all im worried about is a little hose in my thing. I am glad to see you are doing so well keep up the good work Larry

Im am new to this and i am wondering if most doctors use catheter doring surgery . I think the whole thing is great but what realy scares me is the thought of that thing being put in me if any body out their has any input please help me Larry:help:
