Same...242.8. I am sure this is a stall, just trying to keep a positive attitude and keep going! I was hoping to finally hit my challenge goal after not getting it last time, but I will get there! Happy Monday to everyone!
-
242.8...no change! I'm hoping this isn't the beginning of a stall, had one last challenge and I wanted to hit my goal this time!

Big time people watcher. What I am noticing the most is how much snacking people are doing at work, and bad snacking at that. I didn't realize how much candy and chocolate we were all consuming...I also didn't realize how many potlucks and lunches we have! I also am noticing how much food people are eating at one sitting, I know my portion is very small compared to what other people eat, but seriously some of these people had third and fourths at our last potluck. Some of these people are in shape and exercise regularly, but others are overweight and not looking for a lifestyle change. I am happy I'm in a better head space myself, but I feel for some of the people struggling, it's hard to be in that spot.

Nurse_B replied to RunningA5K's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
SW: 290 CW: 245.2 I started really pushing hard with exercise on Sunday, saw a three pound drop this morning. Hoping I can keep it going! -
CW: 247.9 GW: 230 It's ambitious, but I'm headed to Vegas on the 17th, I would love to be at 60 pounds lost by then!

I'm in...excited to keep the weight loss going and stay motivated!

Weight as of this morning: 249.3 I fell very short of my goal, but I'm ok with it! I was pretty ambitious, but I had a stall the first few weeks, then I got on track and I am happy with my weight loss so far. Hopefully I can reach my next goal in the next challenge. Thanks for the push everyone, this was fun!

SW: 290 CW: 250 Excited to hit the 40 pound mark, am really starting to get focused with working out. Hoping to push hard for 20 pounds this month. It's a lofty goal but I have been slacking with working out big time. -
CW: 251.5 I think I am going to fall way short of my goal...but I am still motivated to go hard this last week!

Excellent points. I agree, I think the game probably took over and she didn't realize she had gone too far. I hope you are right and someone took the time to talk to her about it. I would hope there is a positive spin on all of this, and she becomes a more healthy weight!

I know it's being debated heavily in the media right now, but I was interested if anyone here caught the finale of the biggest loser last night? What did you guys think of Rachel's weight loss, her final weight? I am so happy she was able to change her life, but I am so sad for her...it seems as though she traded one eating disorder for another. Could be assuming on my part, but with her height and weight, her BMI is 16...which is 2 points under where someone is considered underweight. I just fear the message it will send to people. Thoughts?!?

Back in the gym, starting to see the scale move a little faster! SW: 290 CW: 255.5 -
Oh geeze!! Gotta love moms!! My mom thought for the month leading and two weeks after surgery I was getting some sort of advice put over my stomach, like an actual clothing garment! When I explained it to her she was stunned, "wow, that is way different than I thought, are you sure you thought about this?" I just had to laugh and say, where were you before the surgery to say that!?!

I would love to let my friends set me up on a date (they have been asking, I'm mortified), and play basketball again. Full court, team basketball. I have a long list of things I'd love to do, grows daily!! Sad to think of all we miss out on, but that is changing!

Stall? Or am I doing something wrong?
Nurse_B replied to FabBoston03's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First of all, congratulations on your weight loss, I think it's great!! Most docs want at least 60 ounces of Water a day, you may want to try upping it, unless your doc told you different. I experienced a stall, which lasted about 3 weeks a few weeks ago. I think you may be experiencing a stall as well. Don't be too hard on yourself, follow your plan and the advise of your doctor. We can't predict when a stall occurs or how long it will last, the only thing we can control is our response to it. Keep your chin up, I think you are doing great!! -
Congratulations, and welcome to the other side! It's great to hear that you are feeling good so soon. Isn't it amazing how small the amount is to make you feel full? I'm seven weeks out and this still amazes me. I'm happy you went through with this too, you are going to be awesome

disappointed in local WLS support group
Nurse_B replied to moonlitestarbrite's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My local meeting is a mix of pre and post op. The first part is a general meeting about a topic pre planned, which is usually very interesting. The break out puts you in groups with people around your length of time since surgery. Basically, my group discussed all of the ways they are cheating their diets and how little exercise they are doing and still losing. I was disappointed!! I'm very thankful for this site, I find people who are successful and helpful. I'm hoping my meetings get better, or I'll just have to find a new group. -
My nose runs!! I didn't catch on right away until my sister said," does your nose run every time you eat?"...duh!! It must be my full signal
