    tricare process

My husband is active duty Army, we have Tricare Standard and it took 4 days for Tricare to approve the surgery. I'm a educator so I have my summers off and which allowed me to schedule the, what seemed like a million appointments, as quickly as possible. It took me exactly 8 weeks from orientation to surgery, which is scheduled for 12 August. I am so thankful for Tricare's quick processing and approval of my surgery, I'm so happy!!

    Pain meds

I too am concerned about pain meds. I've been reading some people have trouble getting pills down; I like the idea of liquid pain meds. I'm meeting with the surgeon on 6 August, that is just one more thing on the list to talk to him about. The list is getting longer and longer, I'm sure glad he's a patient man.
  3. stephwellman, are you freaking out a little about the soft diet before your surgery? I'm hoping I don't screw it up, eating according to a prescribed menu has not been my strong suit.
  4. Just found out yesterday that I'm scheduled for August 12th! I'm now calling my approval letter my 2nd birth certificate, LOL.

    APPROVED

Believe it or not, it took four days to get approved! I figure it is the universe telling me that I'm doing the right thing.

    Today's the day

Congratulations on making the decision to get banded. I'm at the beginning of the process, getting required appointments and such. It took me almost a year to make the decision to get the band. Looking forward to hearing how you are doing.
