SiouxsiQ got a reaction from 2muchfun in Band Slippage
My band slipped and had to be removed 2 weeks ago. I don't know why it slipped and don't really care why. i opted to not have it replaced or convert to another WLS. I have learned soooooooooooo much over my 7 years banded that I am confident I will be successful on my own. Already lost 7 pounds since the band was removed!
i can eat again and I can't get enough veggies!

SiouxsiQ got a reaction from JACKIEO85 in Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
If I had it to do all over again, I would not get banded. i would have considered other surgeries but the band makes you FOREVER dependent on your surgeon and the more research that is done, the less doctors (at least at the University Hospital where I work) are recommending the band.

SiouxsiQ got a reaction from 2muchfun in Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum
Going it alone. I have learned so much about nutrition over the past 7 years that I am confident I can be successful on my own. I still have it in my head that I can only eat bandster portions and I haven't really been hungry yet...and its been two weeks. I feel better physically than I have in a very long time.
