Hi - I had bad knees too and I didn't have high blood pressure but it does run in my family. What about your cholesterol level? Won't they consider that as a problem? I had that too. I just got banded on 3/12/07. I hope you get approved by your insurance and you can start your new life. Keep us posted on your progress.

Yipee!!! I lost another pound!!! Seems so little, but every little bit helps me get to my goal weight. I had lost 7 lbs before the surgery and now 13 since the surgery. That's a total of 20 lbs!!!! I'm so excited!!

Congratulations!! I had gas pains at the beginning. I was told to try Milk of Magnesia to relieve some of the gas pain. It seemed to work. Also, try walking, that helped me heal quicker too. I was banded on 3/12/07 and had pain where my port was inserted. Other than that I felt fine. The pain has decreased a lot and I'm feeling really good now. Hang in there. You can do it.

Hey Mal, I just got banded on 3/12/07 and I'm so glad I finally did it. I'm feeling good and I feel full all the time. Trust me... you'll be glad you did it.

Hi Stacy! Nice meeting you. So far so good. How are you feeling? I had the port pain too, pretty sore, huh? As for the gas, I was told to try taking Milk of Magnesia to help relieve some of the gas. It worked! Also, try not to eat too much dairy, that may cause some of the gas feeling too. Or at least it did for me. I'm feeling much better now and the port pain is minimal now. Keep us posted on your progress as well.

Hey Julie! Yes, I'm going to the April meeting. I would love to meet you. I see you just got banded, 2 days after me. Let's try and hook up. We both need the encouragment as we lose the weight. Maybe we can walk or something. My hospital stay was great! Everyone was really nice and helpful. What happened with you at UCI? And yes, I'm tired of the pureed foods, etc. I see you and I are about the same weight too. 269/262/250 highest/surgery/current is my weight. My next appt w/Dr. Nguyen is on Thurs, 4/5. I'm hoping he says I can go to the next phase of eating something solid. Let's keep in touch! Hope to meet you at the seminar on the 17th.

I was banded on 3/12/07 too. I've lost 12 lbs. Good luck! I'm excited to have the band in. I was a bit sore, but am feeling much better now. How about you?
