Fish ideas for a non fish eater?
Cwalband replied to NJDanielle27's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Same with me! My family eats it quite often but I have never been very fond. My mum likes to bake her fish in the over with some spray butter and spices. Sometimes just with salt and pepper. Usually wrapped in foil.. This may not be of any help to you haha, but I say go for it! You never know, it may be delicious. -
Keep up the good work! progress is progress! Every ounce counts, every workout is a step to a better YOU.. all in time. I'm very impatient so I can see where you are coming from! I hope everything works out and gets easier for you! Let us know how you feel after you fill!!!

Tiny Dishes, Scales, and Portion Control
Cwalband posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello all! Another question here. My surgery is in a few weeks and I read a lot about weighing out my food, using smaller dishes and things like MFP. I'm curious on how you all portion out your food? My weight loss Advocate swears its easiest to use small dishes? Sounds silly until she pulled out a small 3oz bowl when we were out eating and scooped what she was able into her bowl. I know there will be some trial and error but I just want an idea of how to make this transition easier. Thanks ahead of time!- 15 replies

Yeah! My friend Morgan said after a while it became habit, she knew what she could eat and how much but she still weighs things occasionally. Thanks girl! -

Woo HOO! So glad it all went well! -
How exciting! I love reading these because they give me a heads up. Surgery is in a few weeks and I CAN'T wait! I'm still nervous about the tube in the throat.. It just gives me anxiety thinking about it.. I'm not sure its the tube and not other things! Glad everything went smoothly for you! Best Wishes! xx

Hey, first off welcome and congrats on making your first step! I'm a newbie here too! My Surgery is in just a few weeks. I'm pretty nervous as well, the good thing is during that consultation you can ask as many questions as you want... at least thats what I did! There is a lot of people here that can explain how the actual surgery is performed etc. My suggestion is write down all your concerns and basic questions and make them known during the actual consultation. I'm excited for you and hope you get all your questions answered! I know I'm getting close to my surgery and I still ask 1000 questions! haha xx best wishes!

Surgery (Houston) on 07.15 - Dr. Scarborough (but hearing a lot of people rave about True Results?)
Cwalband replied to BringingSexyBackToTX's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Im using TrueResults in Hurst, TX and I will have to say... they have been pretty amazing! TrueResults is great in general but like mentioned, because you're self pay, it may be easier to stay with the surgeon you have now, as long as you are confident and comfortable with them! TrueResults is really a great tool and advocate to use if you have to go through Insurance, as they help you with making it a much easier task then doing it on your own. Also my surgery is JULY 22nd... just a week after yours! woo hoo! Exciting. Keep us updated on everything! -
Adored the story! Thanks for sharing!!! Congrats on all the extemely hard work!
