I am a 29 year old, active female. I have struggled most of my life with weight, and have never been what you consider to be a "smaller" girl. I have owned that for a really long time. When I was in college my heaviest was 225, and then I dropped some weight and got to my smallest, at 172. Since then, life has taken it's toll and I am now at 265 (my heaviest was 273). I still workout, and play sports, but I can't do everything as well as I used.

I currently work as a high school teacher at a high school that has a pillar of fitness, and even teaches kids how to become qualified cross fit instructors. Fitness and health is a priority. Seeing all of the healthy things going on at my school has inspired me to make a positive change. I give lots of time to my students and my job, but realized I wasn't making myself and my own health a priority.

I have worked hard with diets, talking to my doctor, weight watchers, curves, and nothing seems to be jump starting my journey, so my doctor and I decided that Lap
sleeve surgery was the next step. I am super anxious and excited about the next steps. I have been doing tons of research, reading blogs, looking at fail and success rates, and have come to the conclusion that this is the best thing for me, and the future of my health. One of the biggest reasons why I want to do this is because I would like to start a family in the near future, and I want to have a long and healthy life with my future children. I will be looking to others for support during this time to help me through it!
