10 days post up I was still struggling with the gas. Make sure you walk everyday and take your gas-x. Once you get rid of the gas you'll be fine.

Hey that's awesome. I was banded June 21st. I have lost 20lbs but its been a few weeks since I've seen any really movement. My portion size I have to fight with. I'm already at 7.5cc. I suspect this next fill Sept 5th should be my key to green zone. I exercise every day. Without fail. I'm eating 800-1000 calories a day. So....reading your post reminded me I'm not alone. Thank you for the update! Great news -

Had my first fill today. Had 5cc from surgery date June 21st and saw Dr this morning. They added 2cc today. Have lost 17lbs including the 2 week preop diet so I feel positive about that. Am hoping this extra 2cc will slow down my hunger. Since my surgery I have been on this site and honestly it's helped so much to know I'm not alone. Lots of great information. The main point I do understand and received from here is that it's up to me to work the band. I gotta do the work and make the good decisions everyday. The band won't do that for me. There is no easy street. ???Š One day at a time.

That's my Anthony. ❤ -
On Friday June 21st at 4:30am I checked into The Surgery Hospital for my LapBand. My husband Anthony was with me as well as my 18 yr old daughter Tiffany. As my surgeon prepped me for the surgery he turned to Anthony and I to ask....."any questions?" I said "nope am all set." My husband blurts out," I have a question!" I was surprised and knew he was worried for me and then he said "when can we have Sex again?" Lol. I turn red, along with my daughter. The Dr chuckled and said."...as soon as she is ready she will let you know. " No Dr restrictions on that. Yey!!

Way to go BigOBoy. I had my surgery June 21 and I was 292 at check in. I am 281 this morning 6 days later. I am feeling good. No pains. My gases are gone. Have been walking since day 2 and don't plan to stop. I had started at gym pre-op and decided even if I can't really work out I can go to gym and walk treadmill. So I do just to keep up the habit. Besides it 113 out in Phoenix now so the air conditioning is nice. Anyways this morning was first time I got ready and threw on my work clothing and noticed....my blouse was loose!!!! So exciting. No one else my notice but I do! Anyways have a good day all and BigOBoy keep your eye on the prize! Ruth

Hi Everyone. I banded Friday and am doing fine. Yeah the gas is no fun but Ive been walking to help it. Did this morning plan to again this afternoon. Im not in much pain other than that and NO am not medicated...lol . I honestly expected to feel worse than I do. The struggle I am having is that my husband and I have 6 kids....ages 14 to 21 and its summer....they are home from college....eating all day. I just am staying out of the kitchen. Eventually this will all get easier....just one day at a time. I got this. Ruth

I had my surgery on Friday June 21st. Yesterday I had that feeling....what am I gonna do now? I guess what I am struggling with is how everything I used to do with my husband was wrapped around food. Its someone birthday...Lets Eat! The kids are all out....Lets go out to dinner! Its a lazy Saturday afternoon...whats in the fridge? Wanna go for a ride? NO because I just see all the fastfood joints I used to go to. A PITY PARTY I was having. But today I woke up and looked here for encouragement and found it. I know I can do this. I know this is such a blessing. I am gonna work this band to get me where I need to go.
