Deanna, you are an inspiration. 13 miles biking and 6 miles walking/jogging... I hope I can work up to the 6 miles per day.

Hello everyone, well 4 months down and a lifetime to go. It sounds as if everyone is doing great... Carol, I'm not walking the 6 miles my doctor told me to, I've only walked 3 miles a few times and with the neuropathy in my feet it's a huge struggle. I'm walking as much as I can tolerate and riding my recumbent bike. He had to be joking, 6 miles... Sheesh! I'm wondering where everyone is in their weight loss. If anyone would like to share that is. I know we're all individual in our journey but I was wondering if I'm on track. I've lost 61lbs so far and I'm not sure if that's average for 4 months. I'm just under half way to goal and I had a perpetual stall... I went on a week camping trip and I don't know what I did but I broke the stall, thank goodness because it can be real discouraging to be stuck. I'd loose a couple pounds and gain it back then loose it again along with another lb. it was back n forth for what seemed forever. Hopefully I'm on a roll now. Tammy

Hi everyone, It's been a while since I posted but I do keep up with each of you daily... I saw the surgeon today and all my labs were perfect. I'm down just under 60lbs so he was happy with that but I need to ramp up my exercise and walking. He said 6 miles a day!!! Sheesh I'm not sure if I can keep a pace for that far but I'm going to give it my best shot. Well we're all happy losers right??? Tammy

Claire, Have an awesome time in Hawaii, I lived on Oahu for around 10 years. I love going back for visits every so often but I'm glad I moved back here to be near my parents. Aloha!!!

I haven't had one of those days in a couple weeks. I thought that was over, but my surgeon is 8 years out and he said he still has them on occasion. So I suppose I can expect it on occasion. At least I wasn't running for a bathroom...I hate those days worse...I carry emesis bags that are very convenient just for times like yesterday. I always know ahead of time so if I'm out to eat I can always make it to the car. I know... TMI. lol

Hi everyone, I had one of those days yesterday where nothing agreed with me. Everything I ate came back up. I hate those days...but I lost 0.4 lbs... Lol

Zom, my hair is falling out as well and today I even noticed two eyelashes fall out....

I had RNY February 5th, '14, I experienced the same issues. It will work it's self out as time goes on. About the 3rd week I had serious head hunger but even then I still ate the same calories. I don't usually count calories but I use MFP and it keeps track. I'm 12 weeks out and only get in around 500 cals a day so what your getting at this stage seems normal to me.

Gixxergirl, How far out are you?

Good morning everyone, How did everyone do over Easter??? I don't think I messed up since I can only eat a few bites before I'm full. Is anyone up to 3 oz of protein yet? I'm sure not if I ate that much it'd surly come back up. My weight is continuing to inch it's way down, ever so slowly but I'll take that for sure. Well, everyone have a great day... Tammy

You know, I've always wondered about ken and how he might be doing. Anyone know???

Hi Claire & Estor The scales are moving again. I hope for quite a while anyway... I'm down 43.3 lbs so the last couple days have been good to me. Estor, I guess it's mostly about patience, of which I have none. Lol
-
Hi Janette, My scale started moving again yesterday, thank goodness, I'm down another 2.5 for the last 2 days so it's moving again. I was so worried I'd be one of the ones the surgery didn't work for. I wish I could stay off the scales. It's become my new addiction or maybe obsession. I've been told over n over that the scales are not my friend but I just can't stay away. Oh well, I'm headed in the right direction again. Congrats on your loss. Tammy

Thank you DL -
Is anyone experiencing a stall? Ive been on one for 20+ days and I'm really getting discouraged. I've only lost 40lbs since surgery date of Feb 5th. Last week I gained 4 lbs. what the heck is my problem???
-
Rea... I took my first shower in the hospital the day after surgery and it was rejuvenating. By the third day after surgery I had no pain at all so I would say sitting on the side of the tub should work fine... At least speaking for myself anyways. I'm sure you are going to be doing just fine...I think we are tougher than we think... Good luck to you...

Grrr!!! I've been bouncing 2lbs around for the last 19 days. When will it ever end. This is the longest stall I've had yet. So frustrating.

Hi Consuela, My pre-op diet was all clear liquid except the evening meal which consisted of 3 oz low fat meat an 1/2 cup of carbs...it was for 10 days. Probably not much help, good luck on your diet. I'm sure you'll do fine.
