Hi Lisa! My name is Maggie! My surgery date is July 3, the day after my birthday and week after an out of town commitment I have. Here's to no birthday dinner/cake/ or ordering food while traveling! WE CAN DO THIS it's amazing to me how much my life revolves around food. I started my liquid diet today and it's just crazy. I'm currently planning grocery shopping, clipping coupons, and staring at food ads everywhere lol.

Hello all, I have my surgery scheduled for July 3rd, so it's thirteen days away. Sunday I start my 10 day pre-op liquid diet. I'm starting to feel concerned bc I'm coming down with what feels like a very familiar sinus infection. I started mucinex every 12 hours and pushing Water, hot tea and Vitamin C. My question to you is: I'm pretty much in trouble if I have to go on an antibiotic, right? I can't take any NSAIDs or aspirin products starting Sunday. Soooooo, not sure what to do. Thoughts/suggestions? Maggie

Okay, and I can still take straight Tylenol right? As long as it doesn't have any aspirin in it? I know I can't have any ibpreufen or aspirin.

I was told by MANY physicians and professionals during the process to do bypass, not band. However, two women in my family nearly died from complications of the surgery and are continually malnourished to this day. I refuse to go through that.
