i passed on my first fill and honest to goodness the next day i was starving. Think long and hard before you pass. I just got my third fill and i think that was the magic one. Good luck ladies. -
i have highmark blue cross. I think i lost 10 lbs total before my 6 months was up. Not only did they not deny me they approved me early. Good luck.

I drink one sometimes two cups a day. I add a scoop of unjury protein powder to it. I would never get all my proteins in otherwise.

Unjury Protein Chicken Soup Review

i dislike the chicken soup ALOT. I cannot make it without the vanilla, chocolate splendor and unflavored. I add a scoop on one of these to my coffee every day. -
2 weeks post surgery, weight loss stopped...is that normal?
melissag43 replied to coachchels's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it is time for healing. The weight loss is to come when your band it adjusted right. I have to keep telling myself that also. I got my second fill this past monday and I think I may be close to where i need to be. I have lost right at 40 pds since preop and lost it fast but have been hanging out around the same weight for about three weeks. don't panic. It will come. -

Minor setback, Major comeback
melissag43 replied to ladybanded's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
congratulations!!!! Welcome back. -
Hang in there. Everything i have read has said that you may not lose right after. That time is about healing. You really shouldn't EXPECT to lose until after you have a fill or two and are in a groove. I actually have lost around 20 to 25 lbs I was banded on July 10th but i have been sitting at close to the same weight for three weeks or so. I go for my second fill on the 9th. We will get there. I'm excited. You will be also.

I was four weeks post op and then it hit me overnight i was starving. I got my first fill and have again slowed down. I think i could use a bit more fill even. Hang in there. -

I had to wait four weeks to swim. You can walk anytime but wait till you cleared for heavy excercise.

Banded july 5th and no fill yet!!
melissag43 replied to alexander's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i was banded july 10th. I got my first fill on August 21st. He only added .5 cc's. it has made a difference though. I would ask why he isn't letting you have one just yet. -
unjury is my fav! chocolate splendor and vanilla I cannot run out. I will panic. I put a scoop every day in my coffee to make sure i'm getting my proteins in. One scoop has 20 or 21 grams of protein. I swear by it.

you are in the "honeymoon" phase. I am also. I was banded on 7-10. I was losing great and then when you start introducing more foods back into your diet your body has to adjust. I have had one small fill. I'm currently at 3 cc in my band. I eat small portions so it is hard to believe that i'm not dropping weight like crazy but our bodies have to adjust to all the changes and different ways of our eating. Hang in there.
