Hi guys so I had my followup appointment today with my doctor. I found out that he put 5cc in my 14cc band during surgery. I have only lost 8 pounds since after surgery on 5/31. For a total of 16 pounds. I had lost 18 pound but gained two back. I am becoming discouraged because, I can eat what I want and I am hungry still. I have 5cc in my band this is discouraging. :/ Anyone have any suggestions??? I have my first fill tomorrow and I am pushing for about 8 to 10 ccs. We shall see. Please help.. Thanks, Ryley

I would like everyone to know about my first real fill today. I went to the doctor and was asked to weigh in again.... Dreading it I had lost a pound from yesterday. When I talked to the nurse who asked me how I was doing I told her about my discouragement. She said that the doctor had news to tell me..... When the doctor came in todo my fill she told me that I have already beat two weight goals that they had set for me. I wasn't suppose to lose the second one until 7/30. This made me extremely happy and I am no longer discouraged. I now have 6cc in my 14cc band and I am feeling great. I am on straight liquids today and tomorrow and then I am on to soft, mushy food on friday. I am excited and extremely determined. Good Luck Guys.. Ryley

Yes ma'am. I was given 5cc when banded and my first real fill today now at 6cc. You just have to find your happy number

Thank you all for your kind words. It makes me want to work my butt off. My moms idea today was that I start writing in a journal each and everyday and after writing today, i feel a whole lot better. I have spent way to much money to give up. Can any of you give me some ideas for eating?? I am switching back to two Protein shakes and then one meal a day like my pre op diet. thanks guys

I have gained 2 pounds. I know it sounds like nothing but I seem to be able to eat a lot and whatever I want. I think I am not filled enough. Any suggestions?

I was banded last Friday 5/31 and I ended up having a hernia as well. My doctor also filled me 3cc. I have been able to eat liquids. But I'm afraid that I might get something stuck. Can you please let me know how to know if something is stuck and what it feels like. Also how long were you guys sore for?

Okay guys, I got stuck today for the very first time, I was eating chicken and all of a sudden it just happened. I threw up :/ It hurt so bad. i hope one time wont cause slippage. I wanna do goo with this surgery.

Dont worry I have been eating little bits of meat and veggies here and there and I have done good with it. Just have to make sure to chew chew.. Thanks.

I drank a whole bottle of it and nothing happened. It was awful but, now I am good.

Okay so i am on to thicker liquids now like potato Soups, tomato and things like that. What has helped me was snacking on sugar free Jello and sugar free popsicles. Today I did break my diet for the first time and I was nervous but, I feel nothing was stuck. I had the inside of a seafood cake but, It was not really bready. So it went down easily. I wont break my diet again because I am too nervous. But just know that is will all be worth it soon

Thank you so much. Can you describe what happens when it is stuck? That would help a lot. Also I finally had my first bowl movement today. My grandmothers, potato Soup did the trick.

Well I havent eaten any solid foods yet but, I dont think that I am stuck; i am just nervous about getting food stuck. I am staying strictly on liquids. But, I cant wait until tomorrow because I get to move to Soups.... During Surgery, I have the lapband done, hernia surgery, and a 3cc fill put into my band. I am still very sore but, I think that is because of that. Question:::: know this is a strange question but, how long did it take you to have a bowel movement?? I still have not produced one and that is why I think I am so sore. Along with my hernia and fill.

Did you have a fill or a hernia??? I feel like that might be why I am so sore still.
