Hi Nikkij76, how are you doing now? Which clinic did you go to?
  2. But you are holding there! That in itself is success! Funny you say that, I had a liquid day today and probably tomorrow to try and get back to basics. I have stalled around the 60lb mark for the past couple of months also. Got lazy with tracking food..stopped walking and running as the temperatures were far too cold..etc ..just got comfortable really. I think June is a great time to evaluate how far I've come and how much further I'd like to go. Time to get back to basics and re-commit! I had my first stomach virus with the band 2 weeks ago..oh boy that was not fun at all...I don't think there is any damage though. I had broken blood vessels around my eye skin from vomiting!! I am not sure if because I have a band, it makes vomiting that much harder..ugh
  3. Hi Everyone! Wow, we are approaching our 1 year mark! How's everyone? Bandora, yes! I am. I hate the way I look without clothes and my arms are flappy...

This is probably the worst stage, I feel for ya! Hang in there, it will be a distant memory before you know it. Please feel free to reach out to me here or in a PM.

I am on the "band-wagon" Not sure if I am in the green zone, but I am doing fine where I am and happy to stay here. I am glad the holidays are over so I can get back to my healthy routines. As for staying warm..LOL these temperatures are crazy. I hear we are on par with Siberia and colder than the North Pole! Julie, I had that too. It does get better, but I remember it was so painful to move/get up and down. I believe it is because they stitched that port deep into the muscle (don't take my word for it)? By the 2nd week I felt much better and kept getting better and better each day. I did go through a sort of post-op depression and regret stage. I have read that is common with all your body has just gone through, so be ready for that if it comes, it will also pass quickly. I promise you will feel back to normal again soon! Soon, you can enjoy cream Soups, yogurt drinks and Protein drinks!

Hi Julie! I hope all went well and you are recovering nicely! Hi Tom! I am doing great thanks, how are you? I hope you had a nice holiday season. Happy New Year
  7. Happy New Year Junsters! Gary, how are you? I hope you had a nice holiday and New Year! May all of our dreams come true in 2014!
  8. Hi everyone! Gary, yep! When blogs went down, I got out of the habit of blogging..then I stopped coming by as much. Not sure I like this new place. Update on me. I have been doing well. I finished the couch to 5km program and I can run for over 30 min straight now, almost the full 5km - that's what I have to practice at now. However we are covered in snow now. lol I have some winter gear though. I made Onderland this week. Passed my bday goal of 199. BUT, I have been not feeling well and unable to eat much for a week. I wont take it as official yet as it will probably go back up when I am able to eat properly again. I adjusted my ticker. My 2nd weight goal will be to be Overweight at 185. Not sure if I am in green. But I suspect so, since I am content. I still get hungry, but it's not until meal time and I am able to have control over my appetite and choices. I don't plan on getting any more fill. I have gotten stuck a handful of times, but if I am careful it's ok. I have only ever threw it back up once. How have you all been?

    What Is Everybody Listening to?

Oh perfect timing! I was just going to look for something new for my runs! My tastes are very eclectic, but I am a hard rock/classic rock fan. I have 2 main workout playlists. It all depends on my mood. Most days I use my "harder" list which includes - AC DC, Alice Cooper, Disturbed, Rob Zombie, Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson, Megadeth, Soundgarden and Godsmack. I change it up a lot with other bands/songs too. My more upbeat list has a bit of everything from Lady Gaga to Katy Perry to The Black Eyed Peas. I so wish we could get Pandora here!
  11. I lost the whole time since banding and before each fill. That didn't mean I didn't need any fill, it just meant that like you, I was following the rules plus moving my body. Good luck! I really hope they can see that! I just have a dislike of weights- dumbbells. It's just an exercise I despise. Plus they are boring to do at home. I think I may do a push-up and plank 30-day challenge instead. lol I'd much rather go to a sculpting class or something.
  12. 37 lbs is nothing to sneeze at! It's awesome! Big congrats on the 66 too! I agree, that seems strict! I hope it gets sorted. I mean if the band can go to at least 10cc, why on earth stop at 5 if you truly need more. I am at 7.75cc right now. I don't feel I am green yet, but I have decided no more fills until maybe the New Year. I have to be careful and remember to go slow and small. I have gotten stuck twice and have had discomfort a few times. I am afraid of it being worse if I get any more, though I am sure it will only take a small amount to know what the Green Zone is. I want to get through the holidays and family dinners without letting people know something is up. So far, I survived Canadian Thanksgiving the weekend before last, at my in-laws and no one seemed to think anything was up or noticed how little I ate. I was lucky though. My mother-in-law didn't want to do the whole turkey dinner this year and went with chicken and dumpling stew. Was pretty easy to eat and easy to eyeball out a cup portion, plus is looks like more spread out on the plate LOL. I did not finish it and I only had a small sliver of pumpkin pie and no one questioned me. I am managing ok. I also exercise a lot - running 3x a week, yoga once a week and strength 2x a week (though I have to find something I like better as I hate free weights). I track everything on MFP, keep an eye on sodium, etc. I take my portion and stop there, never more. It's enough to take away the hunger but never ever "full" (good). It's rare that I can't eat the whole portion, but has happened once or twice. I get hungry (physically) right on cue at the 2.5-3 hr mark, the odd time longer but I never forget to eat! LOL I can't see that happening. I have gone to bed hungry a few times as I eat my last snack 3hrs before lying down to sleep. Not sure if this is considered green or very close. I also want to learn to eat properly like it's second nature (ie no stucks or discomfort) before I think about more fill...
