Do you remember if this started after a specific event? Maybe something he had upset the band, got swollen, and he hasn't given it enough time to settle. Maybe he should go on liquids for 3-4 days... That's what I would do. If things keep coming up... Call his doc.

Tired and drained
HotButterFly replied to Mindy ramsey's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
How much longer will you have to be on liquids? One thing that helps TREMENDOUSLY with energy is coconut oil... By the spoonful (if you could tolerate it) I had some today after not having it in a looong time and its 3:47am and I'm up cleaning... Way too much energy Try it. -
Thank you, Ginger S.

I thought I was (fill in the blank), but really, I was just fat.
HotButterFly replied to LipstickLady's topic in Rants & Raves
I thought I was TOO SHORT to be able to reach over and see our dog out through our backyard window when he was hugging the house's wall... Turns out I was just fat I thought car manufactures were having difficulties placing the seatbelt on the perfect angel/location because I would always have the belt end up on my NECK, turns out I was just fat. I thought my washing machine was shrinking my towels... Turns out I was just fat. -
My energy is so low after beibg banded.
HotButterFly replied to PDB41017's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I must disagree here, friend. Low carb diets are by "definition" high in fat, when we eat a high fat diet, we have continuos energy and stamina. (At least in MY experiences) But I DO agree with you that it could be his body adjusting to the dramatic changes in his life. -
In the beginning sliders were a mayor "temptation" but now, thanks to my band I can indulge every now and then it moderation. I mean, for heaven's sake, I could be hungry one minute and take a sip of water and hunger-no-more, so it's easy not to over indulge; however, when I have frozen yogurt (original only NO TOPPINGS) I DO have a lil more than I should.... And I don't feel guilty about it.

Family/friends who say I've lost too much weight
HotButterFly replied to Corridor72's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm 4'11 and my recommended weight is around 120 lbs but my target is not so much the number on my scale, rather, the number on the back of my pants. If I go down to 120 I probably WOULD be too skinny. I'm pushing towards a size 9, whatever that translates to on the scale, only God knows. I think we need to learn how to ignore (easier said than done, I know) specially if we know its out of concern and not judgement. I'm judged against my sister who had her sleeve done a month before me and has lost all her excess weight. My family doesn't understand that we had different surgeries which yield different results in the short run. I've learned how to just ignore them and keep walking. Or change the subject. -

My wonderful hubby met me at 115 lbs seventeen years ago. When we married almost eleven years ago, I had already put on some weight. Now that I'm getting back to a normal weight, we can't WAIT to start dating other people. LoL -

Do you have any before/after pics? How tall are you? How long did it take you and how much have lost in total? -
Super confused! Help! Hubby threw me a loop!
HotButterFly replied to Tracic's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I originally wanted the band, went for my first appointment and came out with a surgery date, loads of appointments AND scheduled for a sleeve... Thank the good Lord above I came to my senses and about three weeks before surgery I changed my mind BACK to lapband. I didn't want to part with my pretty lil stomach, I liked the fact that I can control how fast I lose with the band because I did not/ DO NOT want to lose super fast like you do with the sleeve. In all reality, now, eleven months later I probably would have lost all my excess weight (and then some) with the sleeve, but I happy where I am and how I got here. -

Is there an area here where exercise is discussed?? I want to know who else here practices Bikram Yoga

No apologies needed. Actually, I wanna THANK you for resurrecting it. It's good to remember from time to time where we were only a few months back. Yes, obese ppl are easily targets and society encourages that with their silence & not standing up for others.

Hey, guys! I'm here because I need a boost. I feel soooooo bad and maybe it's worse because what happened to me today was with a total stranger, who bares no significance in my life AT ALL. I was out and about having a good time today, I was buying an Italian ice for my kid; I was about to leave and I moved backwards when I felt these arms surround me from the back. The person was so TALL and so close to me that I couldn't see his face so I continued to turn around and look up, trying to figure out if its a person I know, or what the heck just happened. I quickly realized that the person was trying to stop me from stepping on him, since I was slightly "pedaling" back to leave, but I still wanted to see his face. He was like: why you keep looking? I was just trying to keep you from stepping on these $300 sneakers that's all. I answered him and said: well, I'm just trying to figure out who is this person TOUCHING me, can you understand that? He replies: yes, but I didn't want you to step on me. To which I said: ok, fine, I still need to know who's touching me... At this point I had already taken a few steps to get outta there and I heard him say really loud: you know whatta I mean? You step on me with your 300 POUNDS AND break my ****..... I tried. I tried really hard to keep the tears in but I couldn't! Waterworks, y'all. I was mostly pissed at my self (or at least I told myself that) primarily at the fact that this a*****e wearing $300 SNEAKERS (not shoes) was able to ruin my day. To make things worse, this happened in front of my nine year old. *sigh* Ps. My current weight is 221

For immediate relieve I use glycerin suppository. They go INSIDE your mud-hole and it takes about 10-15 minutes to work. You will feel a little cramping (nothing you can't handle) and you should hold it no less than 10 minutes. Now, go!! Go get your Fleet glycerin suppository

THAT'S GREAT! Are you satisfied for 3-4 hours?? Do you wake up WITHOUT hunger? These are also things that will tell you if you're on your sweet spot. -
The only food show I REALLY ever watched was Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, but I really wasn't your tire THEN, and it still isn't NOW. It just made/makes me happy looking at all the yummy plates. Plus I like Guy's personality.

Tony, I'm at a loss just as you are. Have you tried fat-fasting for 2-3 days? -
I'm fat fasting today (day 1) and its been SIX hours and nooooo hunger... I better get me some macadamia nuts, they're perfect for such a time as this.... But oh, so expensive. Do any of you fat-fast regularly?
