It's great that you've decided to go back!!! Believe me, doctors have seen and heard it ALL.... I'm positive you're not the only patient that he has seen go through this. As creatures of habit, we tend to revert back to old habits, so don't be ashamed. Call them and tell them you need to see him ASAP

Stick to your guns, Rod, if its the LapBand you want, don't let him talk you out of it.... They "talked" me out of it, but I quickly changed my mind back to the band.

Yep! I also use a small pillow under my noticeably smaller tummy and I'm four and a half weeks out. Exactly one week post I felt I started slightly sleeping better, by the 12-13th day I still had port pain, but I was able to get in and out of bed easier, as well as sleep better. FEEL BETTER SOON!

This is not meant to scare anyone, as different people have different techniques, but this is the result from my first fill. It hurts as hell!!! The needle was NOTHING compared to the pressing on my tummy to find the spot on entry. Ouch!!!!! -

Waiting for my FIRST fill. Excited, nervous & hungry

No pillow, but yes, they have me crunch. Surgery was at NYU, NYC. I'm almost afraid for my next fill. I never knew B&B were so painful! I had about the same difficulty getting out of bed as I did post op, I can't even lay on my stomach from the pain (although today was the first time I felt relieve). I think I'll request someone else to fill me next time.

Do you have any medical issues? You can start by talking to you pediatrician first and maybe he/she can be your advocate.

I only lost 3 lbs from the time of my first post op appointment, to my first fill three weeks later. My nurse said: "Three pounds.... That's GREAT!!!" That still would be less than you've loss in a month. Focus on your accomplishments not your "apparent" failure. You're right on track.

I use to make something very similar to this when I was on Atkins-- I used to add pepperoni.... It's delish!!
