Help Please... So hungry I am sick...
HotButterFly replied to Jenny'sjourney's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
ohhhhh, I thought they were protein shakes... It's unnecessary to say this AGAIN, but it's possible that if you call your surgeon they will allow you to progress to all liquids--- but NEVER solids!!!! ((No eggs!!!)) Like B-52 said, this is the headrest stages, and the most critical for compliance! Don't feel bummed to call the office (I know sometimes we feel like we bother them or don't wanna let them know we are "starving") but that's their JOB... They get payed heftily to do it. So call 50 times a day if you must!! -

I was drinking protein shakes on day 2, I see you are already drinking them. -
Am I wrong for wanting Lap Band surgery?
HotButterFly replied to Lovely Lady's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
"People" don't walk in your shoes. They don't matter, what matters is YOU, how you feel, and what you want to do. Screw them!! -
Papaya enzymes are chewable and practically dissolve on your tongue. Also, they are pretty small.

ME? Yes, Ren was my surgeon. Have you gotten any fills with Gaspar? -
Sounds gooooood. I need me a crock pot

I have the band, I did the liquid diet for two weeks my sister had the sleeve (with another doctor) and she was NOT required to do it. I suggested and advised her to do it and she did NOT (she's older and thinks I'm stupid) LoL. She had no complications. I would suggest and advise you to do it anyway, it won't HURT you Low carb diets are, for the most part, high in FAT. If you were not getting adequate amounts of fats, that might have been a reason why you were "hungry" a lot. I was NEVER hungry when I was low-carbing on Atkins.

Hello! Newbie with Q's :-)
HotButterFly replied to hailsmac's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too mourned my steak & ribs before surgery... For nothing, really, because I've been able to still enjoy them. My most recent fill was Tuesday, so I'm still on soft foods and don't know yet if I'll be able to have steak again, but I think I will. How do you like your steak? I've always liked it medium-rare to medium.... It's the easiest to swallow now with the band anyway. -
I screwed up! Need to vent

I didn't quite understand where in your journey you are exactly (post op or pre op- and how long) but, if its the actual food you had that worries you, I don't see a problem with that... Unless you had a BUCKET full of skin, and I know you didn't. I went to KFC three weeks ago and I had exactly what you had, except I always go for the thigh meat which is more moist than the breast. Ps.... What happened to your first band? -
Ohhhhh, emmmm, geeeee, you guys, this flatulence is ridiculous!! LoL!!! Sorry for the tmi comment but I'm weirded out because Beans have NEVER had this effect on me. Sheesh!! And I've made chili before and this has never happened. Anywhooo, I have about six servings in the freezer- and I don't care. Hubby better cover his ears for the next week or so.

Is your weight loss surgeon morbidly obese?
HotButterFly replied to Lapbandster's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My surgeon is VERY thin, however, her husband and partner is a bariatric patient. The NP that does my fills is also banded, and I think one of the front desk girls. -
I think most of us go in KNOWING there are cases where the LapBand doesn't work if we do our research. I'm glad you've been able to continue losing.

Do you have a link that explains this diet?

Wanna Rant About Spouses & How Clueless They Can be sometimes?
HotButterFly replied to HotButterFly's topic in Rants & Raves
What's his sorry excuse for not working? It's not easy supporting a household with six kids including special needs children on one income. Please tell us he at least cooks, cleans, and does laundry!! LindaFromFlorida has good points and I agree with her a lot.... But you fell out of love two years ago and that's a mighty load to carry. -
I looooooove that cold, moving feeling I get when i drink ice cold water.

How to know when you have hit the GREEN ZONE?
HotButterFly replied to BeachBish's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think what she's saying is exactly the opposite... What I understand is that she CAN eat that 16oz "steak", for example, and not feel miserable like you would. Same with me, I can eat more than 1cup before I get that satiety signal, which in my case is a sigh; although, I try most of the time to stay within the 1cup recommendation. But when I DO, I'm usually hungry before the 4 hours. I'm not sure if I'm "there" or I need another (conservative) fill. What do you all think? -
I WANT SOME!! Not for me, but for my 10 year old. She rarely drinks soda, but it's the only soda she likes (BCS) PS... I hate artificial sweeteners. I rather have the REAL stuff, so my sugar intake is VERY limited.
