I've got to say that I've never been soooooo curious to see what all of you "full of life" people have to post. This thread breaks up the routine, very interesting topic. -
My blood test results came back positive for H-pylori and I was concerned if it will be a setback for approval. I'm getting the medication I need to knock it out tomorrow. thanks for the input

tenacious, it's okay to be scared but knowing that your health and overall body are going to change is a great motivator. I'm going to use dr. duncan because his success rate along with his after care are on point. I'm going to the seminar on april 14

I'm from mcdonough, Ga and it's a real pleasure to meet you all. I've been trying to locate banders and pre-banders from georgia. Let's keep intouch

I know dr. duncan personally, He's one of the best surgeons if you are considering getting banded. Dr.duncan has an excellent success rate with his patients and the after care is on point. I'm going to the seminar on april 14 2007 and after that I should get an appointment. Go to websurg.com to view the surgery (not by dr. duncan)but it will give you an idea. good luck to you.

I first want to say hello and congratulations to all for taking a step toward change. food is like a good friend that makes our time together enjoyable with laughter and endless conversations. Food is a real comedian and I've decided not to laugh at its jokes anymore because health has a better punchline. I attend my first seminar on april 14 2007 and I'm excited. I've had all my labs done, my insurance is accepted and I'm waiting on paper work for clearance etc. Thank God for this procedure because my wife is a gastric bypass patient ( 4yrs out ) and I've been there through her tough times. Every morning that you have breath give thanks because it's special and the fact that you have a chance to change your outcome is more than enough to say thank you. be blessed

Thank you for the welcome. I understand that we all have a journey that will not be easy and being a man that likes food alot, makes my decision difficult. I must give respect to my health because death is not an option.

It's good to see men care about their health and lose this burden called weight. I'm wesboo from atlanta, Ga and it's my pleasure to share this journey with you all. We need support too and I'm tired of buying pants with elastic or pleats for comfort. I feel good about my progress and have most of what I need for approval. My wife is on point with helping me tie up any loose ends and so after my seminar on april 14 2007 I should get an appointment. I'll check back fellas - be blessed

I couldn't pass up wishing you good luck on your decision. The surgeon recommends that I attend a seminar first before I get an appointment. I've already gotten my labs done and everything else is falling in place. Do what's right for you. the start of this journey only leads to another.
