Congrats! I'm in North Dallas and was banded on May 30th. I have another week of mushy food, but down 22 lbs so far! Can't wait to get my first fill and find my green zone! How awesome 50 will be! -

Made it through my first weekend on mushy foods. We went out of town to visit family, and the hotel we stayed in gave us complimentary lunch buffet vouchers for messing up our reservation. At first I was hoping it would be "brunch" so I could have some eggs or grits (we were in Louisiana), but no such luck. I had a scoop of soft California veggie mix and a piece of baked tilapia. Then, I thought I could taste the cornbread dressing. That was the straw that broke the camels back Experienced my first feeling of "stuck" food and tried to not panic. Afterwards, I had pain in my back (I think it was gas). How do you manage eating in mixed company ( in front of people who don't know you've had surgery)? -

I'm one week post op today, too! I also wondered if made the right choice, but as of today, I am down 22 lbs from before my pre op diet! Very exciting times! I tried going back to work today, but had waves of incision pain. I ended up leaving after half a day Have you gone back to work yet? -

Thanks for the tips. Second night way better than the first. Took the sofa pillows and created a nest in the bed. I'm taking my liquid Lortab every four hours like clockwork. At this rate, I'm afraid that I will go through it all before Monday. Is anyone taking OTC meds with rx?

I was banded yesterday May 30th and I'm still very sore. It's mostly under my ribs, so I'm assuming its my diaphragm. No gas pain, and holding liquids just fine. I'm a stomach sleeper, so last night was rough being on my back. Any pointers?

Hello fellow bandsters! I'm new to the site and was banded yesterday, May 30th. I'm having soreness near my incision sites, and it hurts to get up and down from sitting or laying down. Did any of you get bandages over steri strips? I'm afraid the bandage adhesive will pull the strips away, but the gauze looks nasty already. Any pointers?
