Welcome ! I just made the decision a few weeks ago too and am very new as well. How many months is it until your surgery ?

I reside in Manalapan and work in brick. I'm using Dr. Karl Strom with Monmouth bariatrics. How was centra state for you ?

So I am getting the band hopefully around the end of September early October. I forgot to ask at my consultation about the fact that I'm Hypoglycemic. I should be okay if I'm eating every few hours but I know if I don't eat a lot I get dizzy. I'm nervous with the size of my stomach I will be dizzy a lot of the time. Any one experience this or have any opinions on it ?

I'm almost positive Dr. Karl Strom with monmouth bariatrics takes almost every insurance. He has offices in holmdel which is central ( that's where I'm going ) he has offices at bay shore hospital. Check it out, good luck !

Hi all ! I have been reading forums from Lapbandtalk for a few days now. I am not usually a forum kind of girl but everyone here seems so supportive of each other I had to join ! I just had my second nutrition appt today and have to diet for SIX months before my insurance will approve anything. I am excited to start my journey although dieting in the past hasn't been so successful :/ tonight is my last 'hoorah' of binge eating and will start fresh in the morning. Have any of you had to do the 6 month nutrition appointments or just me? Let me know your thoughts I'm so excited !

I am going through the same thing right now ! I am getting banded around September and have only told a few people. The reason being is that being banded isn't an "easy way out" and I don't think people that aren't overweight will ever understand that because they're not educated enough about it. I say do whatever you feel is right. I think I'm going to be more open about it AFTER surgery. I just don't need any negative comments or opinions before surgery, although I think we banders may think of it more in depth than non banders. Friends and family only want the best for us ! Sorry if this was NO help at all - just thought I'd share. Good luck let me know what you decide !

Gowalking- just out of curiosity where did you get your band? I was hit with sandy too so we must be in the same area. Congrats on the weight loss !!

3 months isn't it crazy how time flies? Has it been as hard as it seems? And are you exercising as much as we're supposed to ? Sorry for all the questions ! I just want to learn as much as I can.
