Any other September 2013 bandsters?
skinnyboundsky replied to Irishflower79's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums

Hey guys I'm a manager at an AT&T store where we sell this product everyday. So I get to see all the differences of multiple exercise band tracking devices. By FAR the jawbone UP is my absolute favorite. I told everyone in my bariatric center to invest in one because it works VERY well. I've noticed other trackers are not quite as accurate or convenient, but UP is not only easy to use but it's comfortable and waterproof. I hope this helps and if you have any questions about it let me know !

Any other September 2013 bandsters?
skinnyboundsky replied to Irishflower79's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hey there ! I'm September 6th (10 days before my 25th birthday) what a great present ! I'm so glad we have each other to go through September and being newly banded going into the holiday season. Good luck everyone ! -
Thank you !!!

Unfortunately .. Yes. Just in my opinion. I had the magic bullet it doesn't do as good of a job blending ice and mass amounts of ingredients together because the blade is not as sharp. This is just my opinion if you want to keep it go for it but while you have the chance I would highly recommend the nutri bullet.

I used to have the magic bullet, bought the nutribullet and I believe EVERYONE should invest in one. I've wasted money on so many different blenders .. For $100 I should have just bought this one in the first place. I use it everyday and I LOVE it. Definite yes!

skinnyboundsky replied to ChloeHouston's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Would you have decided against it in doing more research ? -
Aw I also have to wait 6 months :/ That's okay it allows time to go by and get your muscles used to chewing 25 times .. So difficult! Good luck to you !

United health care?

Hey njdad happy Father's Day! I'm getting banded by dr Strom in September. Any complications ? What insurance did you go through ?
-
Did anyone else have as much of a battle as I am trying to figure out whether or not going with the sleeve or the lap band is better? I just don't know. The lap band can have so many complications where as the sleeve what's done is done, no fills no slippage.. Not as much of a risk ? But they are still taking out part of your stomach ! Idk .. Thoughts ?

Hey welcome!! I'm in jersey too, which bariatric center are you going through?

Kathy goes under the knife!
skinnyboundsky replied to SkinnyKathy's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I have no advice seeing as I haven't even gotten my band yet but I just want to say CONGRATS. The fact that you've lost SO much weight is an inspiration and a huge accomplishment. I would love to hear YOUR advice! That weight loss is really incredible congratulations I wish you the best on this next chapter in your life ! -
What are you guys using to make your shakes ? I had the magic bullet. I stopped using it because I'm constantly on the go I stand on my feet 9 hours a day and never have time to make a shake. My surgery is hopefully some time in September and I want to get into a routine now because shakes will be such a big part of my diet. Should I just use the cups to pour milk add powder shake it up and go? But when you mix them with Ice it's so much better ! Any ideas? What does everyone else do for shakes ?
