    1500 Cal Diet...Really??

I also did the nutrtionist thing for 6 mos. for insurance. After umpteen diets I already knew what I "should" do. If her magically telling me it again would have made it work I wouldn't have needed the band. It's a double edged sword...lose too much and your BMI won't be high enough to qualify for the band. I jumped through the hoops and added lbs. before surgery. Do stick by whatever plan you have to go on for the 2 weeks before surgery. It gets the liver out of the way. With surgery as the daylight at the end of that tunnel I was able to stick with it. Lost 14 lbs. in the 2 weeks....go figure.
  2. 50 lbs. gone today, and feeling restriction finally after fill last week. NSV being able to wash hair in kitchen sink again!

  3. I understand that most folks don't keep track of calories, but as I eat my protein and veggies I try to keep it from 700 to 1000 calories a day. Not all protein and veggies are created equal and I think it helps me to know where I stand.
  4. Saline leakage?

  5. Happy 54th Birthday yoyonomore!

  6. I had surgery 5/13. Was stupid and did an "easy" CPR refresher on 5/20. Now I have a stabby, burning pain at my port site. I saw my doc last Thursday and he said it was nerves waking up and perhaps a stitch too close. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and how long it lasted.
