I had the same problem with protein shakes. My nutritionist suggested that I use Shakes or Whey that are Isolate. Isolate made all the difference to me. I don't have that gas and diarrhea anymore since I switched over. Oh and since I make my own protein shakes with the Whey Isolate I use unsweetened Almond milk because I do have a bit of Lactose intolerance. Good Luck, Hope something works for you since protein is the most important part of your new diet.

I have just started the surgery clearance process. Monthly visits with my surgeon and nutritionist. I am a single mother of two children and I am the primary care giver for my grandfather who is bedridden. Since I will be unable to get him up in his wheelchair daily after the surgery, I will need to make arrangements for a daytime nurse for him. I realize everyone is different and heal at their own speeds, but I am curious what the average bounce back rate is.

Thanks Everyone! I guess I will just have to play it by ear, but cross my fingers I don't have to keep a nurse in house for too long. Let's hope for no more than 3 wks.! -

I do use a hoyer lift to get him out of bed but there is a bit of push and pull/lifting on my end to get him in and out of bed. I just hope its not longer than 3 weeks. I don't really want someone in my house everyday. -
Doctor in Monmouth County NJ that takes Medicaid/Horizon NJ Family

Thanks everyone! @skinnyboundsky I actually had my seminar with Dr. Strom. He was really nice and answered all my questions, but no they don't accept my insurance either. @B-52 I actually have Horizon BCBS Familycare is the *** Primary, Medicaid is the provider I guess they call it. I have pretty much given up on my search for a local doctor at this point, so I am just going to keep my appt. in West orange. They are a center of Excellence and they seem nice enough. I just dread the drive on any regular basis. -
Doctor in Monmouth County NJ that takes Medicaid/Horizon NJ Family

I have been desperately looking for a doctor in Monmouth County that accepts Medicaid or Horizon NJ FamilyCare. I found a doctor in Livingston, NJ but that is like a 2hr. drive in rush hour for me and I just can't imagine I will be able to make that trip for several appts. let alone if I need to make weekly trips to get me fills. I called all the local hospitals to see which doctors were associated with them, I also called my insurance company but their list of doctors was not right. Anyone who knows of any doctors in the area I would love a little help. My current appt. in Livingston is scheduled for July 5th. So I have until then I suppose to find a better/closer fit. -

Thanks! I Actually saw his name listed by someone else and called him earlier. they don't actually take my insurance. I was so wishing they did. I hate that I have to take this drive. Thanks anyway though, I appreciate your reply!
