I have 2 nutition classes and my psych evaluation that is between me and surgery.... A psych evaluation for some reason really freaks me out. I'm so afraid that they will see what a bad relationship I have with food and how messed up I am in the head as far as diet and my weight Hang-Ups go that I will fail it. Has anybody ever failed their psych evals? I'm not saying that I'm crazy I'm just saying that I hate tests and I do have a problem with my weight which is why I'm here in the first place!

Just curious to see if anyone is in the same vicinity....I'm in Tallahassee Florida...

I am over a year post op - 2 days ago I got stuck....after some painful wretching I finally got relief...then that night every time that I layed down vomit came up into my throat to choke me and out my nose...I 'slept' sitting up all night and this continued to happen through out the night. the next day I had half a cup of coffee...bt felt awful then at dinner I tried a few tiny bites of chicken but it wasn't going down. My dr had told me to take Zantac after getting stuck, so before bed a took a Zantac with a sip of water and once again every time fell asleep I would wake up choking.....What the heck is going on? has this ever happened to anyone?

I did call the Dr this morning...my luck he isn't in on Mondays the nurse said she would let him know and call me back, I haven't heard anything yet but they did make me an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. Meanwhile being up and moving around I feel ok, I even just drank some chicken broth and so far so good...it just seed crazy that it was 2 nights in a row, and yeah really scary that it would choke me and really gross that it came out my nose! Oh the struggles! Lol

It started off as pbing, but ended up full blown....

I could use a partner in crime - or atleast someone to help keep me in line!!

I feel like I have something stuck - ever since Friday morning...Every time I try to eat or drink all I can have is a bite or a sip - I have the gurgling and burping and hic ups going on too...I have tried to make myself sick (yes I know that I shouldn't) but to no avail...any suggestions?

What is your typical diet for a day in the life of a lap bander? What are some of your "usuals" or "go to" foods? I'm having problems with so many food items that I'm looking for new menu ideas...

Ohh what I would do to have someone move in with me - cook or prepare me healthy band friendly meals - slap the fork out of my hand when it has too big of a bite on it - berate me till I chew my food to death......then I do believe I would be successful!! Otherwise, I really suck at this!!

LMAO!! I sure asked for those comments!!! Love it!! Gotta keep it fun! I just get to eating and get carried away - I watch my family take big ole bites - I think I'm taking small enough ones - but never fails, I get stuck! Except I gotta say...so far today I have eaten "real" food and I have not gotten stuck once!! I'm super happy - I have been living off of crackers and beer!! Not that that's such a bad thing, cuz it's been pretty fun - but my body is seriously craving GOOD NUTRITION!! Esp. on my long bike rides!! Just gotta keep my head right!! Thanks guys!

Oh and I'm definitely not too tight, I had all of the fluid removed from my band in August... Also question for you all... Can you drink at all when eating? I know that we aren't supposed to, but are you able to? If I take even a sip of water while eating I get sick... I thought that we just shouldn't drink because it washes the food down... But for me it's the opposite, it brings it back up!! I have a really bad attitude now about my band but I want to make changes, I want it to work, most of all I want to feel healthy and not regret my surgery..

Eating fruit and vegetables definitely get stuck, I don't always get sick but I get major chest pains... Unbearable... I seriously try to take small bites and chew the way I'm supposed to, they just don't go down well... At all! Just yesterday I took a small bite of pineapple... Then I was done for the night, I have honestly pretty much stopped trying

AMEN!!! I agree - I feel more unhealthy now then I ever have in my life! You're right - I need to make an appointment. I've just been "dealing" with it.

I'm totally serious!! I don't understand why others say they can't drink beer or soda - I have NO issues there - all of my problems come from the foods that are good for me!!

I feel like I have given up everything that is healthy for me!! I can not eat fruits or veggies - and I REALLY miss them!!! But I have no problem drinking beer....

Just curious what your thoughts are........

The last couple of days I've gotten some really sharp pains in the area of my port...They come really randomly, but they are knife like - put you to your knees sharp pains - and then I'm fine!! Has this or does this happen to anyone else?

I'm 6 weeks po - I can't do bread but wraps go down ok as long as i chew to oblivion!!

Ok - so we all lost the obvious weight with the liver diet - but I have had my first fill and still no more loss...does everyone stall like this? Does it just take time to kick into gear?? Or is everyone else just happily losing weight??
