Surgery tomorrow and I'm scared
wannabeskinnyme replied to renee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery is July 16th. I am getting scared and thinking the same stuff.... I keep saying to myself " what am I thinking" I know I will be much healthier and my broken back will thank you me over and over!!!! I don't want to back out but I am worried about how o will feel when I wake up..... -
I had my endoscopy yesterday and my mega blood work up for all the vitamin levels. The scope was not bad at all. It was over quick and when i woke up i didn't know anything had went on. They found and removed a few stomach polyps and then took several biopsies. My stomach has been hurting and kinda burning. I hope that is normal after having stuff taken out of there.

Your yard is beautiful Sounds like your doing pretty well. I haven't had my surgery yet but in a few weeks. I hope i do well as your doing with getting liquids down... Good luck in your recovery!!

I just thought i would share this. I have been trying all different kinds of protein powders getting ready for my surgery. I have heard good things about Unjury so i went on Amazon.com and found it was cheaper there so i bought the vanilla, unflavored, and the chicken broth protein powders. I just tried the vanilla and its very good. I put it in my Vitamix with a little ice and skim milk and blended it. It was smooth and not gritty at all!!!!! I don't like little pieces of anything floating around in my mouth after i drink something. I hope this helps someone that is searching for a protein powder.

The only thing i have left to do is the EDG scoop. i am so nervous i can't sleep If anyone knows of something i really need to ask please speak up! thanks -
My first appointment with my surgeon
wannabeskinnyme replied to wannabeskinnyme's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
thank you for your responses Yes i researched my surgeon. I was highly recommended to him by my sisters gastro doc. I also have to go to a center of excellence for my insurance. Its funny that you mention being dropped after they get your money because that was the first question i asked at the seminar. I to am not a fan of you care about me until you get my money and then when you do, you don't know me anymore! I will ask again tomorrow though. Thank you for reminding me to bring it up again. You both have been helpful... thank you -
hahahaahaa Well i guess you will be tooting a lot I love lentil. i thought about making a little bit on lentil soup and freezing it for when i can start eating soup. Good luck with your bean eating.
-
Awesome!!! I can't wait to get those kinda of surprises
-
I think that its the protein they are focused on not the carbs. I think 1/4 a cup of cooked lentil is about 15 carbs or about that and it has about 12 to 15 grams of protein. I am trying to figure out what to get that will be best in protein once i have my surgery.

Thank you for sharing your experience on here. I am sorry that your hospital stay sucked!!! I pray so hard that i will NOT be in a room with someone else. I don't like that at all. I want to be in my own misery and don't want to listen to someone else's hahahaahaaaaaa I heard that about the Unjury Chicken soup.... I need to get a thermometer to watch how hot the water is. Doesn't it say 130F ? I hope you continue do well on the fluids :-)

Its good to know you liked the chicken broth lirri, Starlight if you go on line to Unjury.com you will see all of their products. I can't wait to try there stuff. I will post what i think when i get it.

I went to the WL seminar on the 13th of May and they told me i am looking at about 6 weeks until my surgery. I did my phyc evail last week. I see the surgeon on May 29th. I just have to schedule my scoop and wait for insurance to clear me. I am scared to death but i am so excited all at the same time. I hope that is normal?? I have been trying to get things ready. I have reading as many of your posts as i can to find out what you all have done. Any suggestions would helpful. I have been trying protein powders. I am a big espresso drinker so i came across this protein powder by CLICK... its so good!!! It only has 15g protein. I will use it as my coffee treat. I have ordered Unjury vanilla and it should be here on Wednesday. I hope i like it. A lot of people said its the best tasting one. I was also wondering if anyone on here is from Washington State??

I have heard good things about Unjury so i will post up and say what my thoughts are. Have you tried their chicken broth?

I am a espresso drinker and found this protein espresso powder. Its called CLICK. The vanilla is so good!!! I have been trying protein powders to see if i like them now. I ordered Unjury vanilla, unflavored and the chicken broth one. I hope i like them. They come on the 29th.
