Till can't get over how thin my face is now

My surgeon said if I was having a TT it would have to be deflated because it's surgery to the abdomen. My arm and eye lift don't require it to be deflated.
-
I have a lap band and am going for an arm lift and eyelid surgery in 2 weeks. Has anyone with the band who have had cosmetic surgeryndeflate the band prior to surgery?
-
Thank you all, I saw the surgeon and he is not going to deflate, and has worked with many lapband patients

You will get there! I have 5 cc in my band and am in the zone, I thought I would never get there myself. I am4 months banded and down 39 lbs. it wasn't until my last fill that put me in the zone, was when The weight just started to really go. Prior to that I was up 5 lbs down 4 up 2 down 3. I felt like I was losing and gaining the same 7-8 pounds for well over a month....keep the faith, it will work for you.

Hi banisters! I was banded aug 5th and had second fill a week ago. Feeling great I do have loud burps randomly. Is this normal? Other than that I think I may be green zoned. Have 3.5 cc in 10 cc band.

I found out the hard way with carrots! Even though I chewed and chewed, I got stuck. No more of those for me!

I trust your right, I will keep on keeping on...thanks to all of you, I don't know what I would do without this forum and all of the continued support from each and everyone of you ! Thank you!

Hi. I had my band aug 5th and lost 22 lbs in the first 6 weeks. I haven't lost anything since and have been exercising and eating well. I count calories but tend to not measure. What could be the problem? A typical day would be Yogurt Breakfast salad or Soup or cottage cheese with fruit. For lunch meat Protein, veg and small salad dinner I don't snack much other than sugar free ice pops or a Protein shake, or piece of fruit Sounds like I am doing everything right......ugh getting frustrated. I am due for my second fill on oct 17. I have 3 cc in my band. I am desperately trying not to gain, and believe me, I can gain overnight. I started with a low BMI Maybe this is normal until I get in the zone? Ugh

Debpaige that's great! How is your weight loss so far? Have you had fills? I was banded aug 5 and also feel great. Get first fill on sept 12th. I am finding I am getting hungry before 4 hours and am able to eat more. I am trying to eat the best I can and make good choices, however, I have gained 3 pounds out of the 19 I had lost....bummed a bit but know it will get better after fill

I am one week out and feel good! I am o er the hump and couldn't be happier with my decision! I am a low BMI and only had one week of the pre op diet in which I lost 5 lbs....so I stepped on the scale this morning and am down another 7 lbs! 7 lbs in one week?? Crazy right?. So total down is 13 and I am o er the moon!!! Still swollen and stomach is still bloated so I don't look any different but I know it's happening!
-
I've decided to keep off the scale for the week and only weigh myself once a week for my own sanity! Down three up two! Urghhhh I thought this wasn't going to happen! I am just starting my 5th week and really eat very little.

I am beginning week 4 and have been doing well except for my energy levels. I am exhausted most of the time. The other at I took a 4 hour nap! I take my vitamins and still feel drained. My body aches and I seem to have a problem with deep breaths. They hurt my lungs. Is this normal??? -

Not really. I have had minor cramps now and then nothing consistent. But have had that prior to surgery -
I get first fill on sept 12th. I am not really hungry and am eating lightly and not losing since one and two week post op....hoping it will kick start sooner than later...hang in there it is too soon to throw in the towel, you are still in healing phase

I am so happy to say I am only two weeks out and feeling fantastic! I am down 15 pounds and have been feeling unstoppable! I went to a party yesterday which was a sit down dinner at a restaurant, I am on mushiness and had a little eggplant. Very little! And some grilled zucchini, I was full, socialized and had no problems with what I ate. I get my first fill on sept 12th and I can't wait to really kick start my weight loss. I am walking every day with my dog one mile. I will increase as I get more endurance. Since I am eating very few calories, I get a bit tired. I know the first 4 weeks is for healing, which I have no pain other than a little tenderness where my port is. I have not lost any more pounds in the last 4 days, but I know that is normal and to just keep keeping on.! One question...after my fill, will the weight loss accelerate?
-
-
Congratulations! I sure the swelling takes a good 4 weeks. Approx how many calories are you getting in daily?

Sorry for the duplicate...don't know why that happened. Makes sense with the stool. I am from New York. I just learned that my fills are not covered and will run 155 dollars per. I hope I won't need many lol! My gas has diminished a lot but my belly is still very distended. My port area seems to be ok as well, I've read many fellow banisters have many issues with the port site. I can sleep on my sides now which I am grateful. I still get winded a little which is expected...hey it's only been a week right?. Sounds like we are doing great!
