Good grief is right!

I am getting banded aug 5th and was at my surgeons office today for final clearances. I was also informed that my fills are not covered u der insurance and will cost 155 per fill. Has anyone had to pay for fills? And if so is 155.00 normal?

Hello to you all. I have been reading all of the posts and found it to be informative as well as inspiring. I hope to inspire newbies eventually too. I am in the beginning process of all the clearance testing. I discovered I have sleep apnea, which was really no surprise, and I am having the endoscopy next week. After all the testing, my surgery should take place on August 5th. I can't say I am nervous, I feel I may be anxious more than nervous. I am excited and am looking forward to starting my new journey. I have only shared my decision with my husband and sister, both supportive. My husband feels I don't really need the band, but he is not educated on why I do need the band, even though I try to convey the need, but he still supports my decision to trust I know what is best for me. I look forward to a supportive relationship with you all!

Does anyone pay for fills?

I'm going to try and avoid those things from happening!

Oh congrats! You will do just great! Keep your eyes on the prize, good luck and keep us posted as to your post op. I start preop diet tomorrow and am scheduled for the 5th of August. I am so ready for this, we can do this!,,

My clearances should all be final on July 31 appt. I'm so looking forward to move forward!, lol

Meeting with my surgeon on July 9th to go over all my test results. I too feel as if I am at a pre qualification appt every other day! But I'm ok with it, I know going in to this that my body can endure the surgery. I am excited and nervous like everyone else here, but I am not second guessing this decision any more. It is time, time for a change, time to regain my health. Aug 5 th can't come soon enough!

Why do feel that way? Has the band not worked as well as you had hoped? I am scheduled to be banded on aug 5th and feel unsure if the band will work for me. I would hate to go through it all and be unsuccessful. I've read some bankers have not lost any weight at all and that scares me

I'm sure that's normal with any new venture...keep the mindset of doing this to live a longer healthier active life! We can do this! We've made our decisions and now it's almost time to live it! I can't wait until mine on Aug 5th....hooray!
