Very Depressed. Food is winning, I am losing this battle
Dusty Roses posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was banned June 4th, so it's been about a month. I go July 3rd for my first fill. Why can't I stop eating the same foods that got me to where I am today. I am so angry & frustrated!!!! I'm not losing weight and I'm pretty sure I've gained in the past 2 weeks. I'm back to the same eating habits as pre-surgery. I did great following all the guidelines before surgery and even lost weight. Now I feel like I'm back at square one. Maybe I'm just expecting too much (; -
Hi... I was band on June 4th and just had my first fill today! So the journey begins and I am looking forward to all the help & support I can get. I will need it. Happy July 4th to you all

Hi everyone... YaY me... I had my first fill today and it was a breeze! I have a couple questions. 1) Why did the dr. put me back on the liquid diet for 3 days? I thought that part was done. Does this effect the band? How? 2) I gained 1 1/2 lbs since my surgery (before my fill). Dr. said no biggie. Is that normal after the swelling goes down? And the BIG question... Can I have WINE yet???? I don't feel any different, but I am hungry! I didn't eat before my fill and now back to clear liquids for 3 days

Thanks for the advice and kind words. I will be coming on here more as it does help to hear from others who have been through this. I keep reading about how great everyone has done in the beginning and I started feeling as though this wasn't working for me. Patience Patience and more Patience. I WILL do this. I have come this far After all as Paris said " Sounds drastic? Perhaps. But I assume you want this badly (you had surgery, after all) so do what is necessary to give yourself the life you deserve." -

I'm going to see how it goes Wednesday. I never realized how addictive and controlling food can be! -
2 weeks post-op (no fills yet) and I see and feel no difference? Following all Dr.'s instructions and no changes. I keep reading on here all the people who lost all this initial weight, even before they had a fill. Am I expecting to much or am I doing something wrong? I lost in the beginning with the pre-op diets and I have lost 3 inches around waist now that the swelling is down. But, NO lbs?

I just don't feel any different. 2 weeks since surgery (no fills yet) and it all seems to be the same. No change in appetite or how often or long I am hungry? Following all Dr.'s instructions. What am I doing wrong?

Surgery done! Spent 3 days in hospital

Hi... I have a damaged esophagus (swallowed a bee a few years ago and it ripped up my esophagus), reflux and a hiatal hernia... The gases were terrible and hid everywhere they could find inside me to hide.. I could release the gases and was really nauseous for 2 days. Anyway, main thing was they couldn't get my heart rate down. It went from 68 before surgery, up to 123. They released me when it went down under 100. Never did find out why it happened. I just kept on walking -
Tomorrow's the day, yet I'm so angry with myself!
Dusty Roses posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I feel like I'm on a roller coaster right now. Very excited, yet nervous. Why am I doubting myself (not the procedure) all of the sudden? Why am I MAD at myself for having gotten to this point in my life where I needed to do this procedure in the first place? So many emotions today. On the other hand... I am really excited to start this and looking forward to a new me -
