Questions about life affer the surgey

I went onto pinterest and found a ton of recipies using chix and fish with veggies etc. Type in lap band recipies, egg recipies, grilled chicken recipies and fish recipies in the search field and you will get a ton of great ideas.
  7. Well tomorrow is IT. I'm excited and nervous. Nervous about going through the procedure and not knowing what to expect afterwards but excited to start my new journey. I can' t wait to look back a year from now and think, wow I've done this! I know there will be many ups and downs but I know in the end it will be worth it to be healthy and happy! Any last words of advice for calming the nerves?? Thx all!

Cheznoel thanks for following up. Surgery went well. Right now im just really bloated making the fluid intake a little more difficult then i expected. Just sipping slowly and walking to try to get the gas under control. I feel very full very quickly. On a full clear fluid diet for 5 days.

  15. Had my surgery this morning and am now on the other side!!! Yay!!! All this gas pain isnt much fun and im having a hard to time getting alot of fluid into because i feel full quick not sure if im really full or if its a combo of the gas pressure with the fluid im consuming just making me feel full? On a full liquid diet for the next 4 days.

    I made it!!!

Hey Steph i was thinking about what u said about the fear of all this bloating and gas mixed with fluid intake stretching the pouch. I dont think thats possible because....the liquid passes through in approx. 15-20 min. Or so and if your like me sipping little bits at a time 1/2 of my 4 oz chix broth has passed down before i get the 2nd part done. Not sure this is accurate but it makes sense. If it was food i think thats diffetent because it sets longer in the small area. Just my take;)

Uve had about 4 oz chucken broth a 1/4 sf popscicle and a little water. Tomm. I should im planning on starting with my protein drink for breakfast do you know if these also count towatds you fluid intake? Or is thst just your water intake? Sorry for all the ???
