I have been a dieter all of my life. I have tried anything from crash diets, starvation, diet pills, shots and any diet gimmick out there. I usually lost some weight but I would gain it back plus some. I was the queen of the yo-yo. I gained 55 pounds back in one year the last time after I dieted. I got married November 2011. In November 2012, this was the result. 55 pounds fatter. I was so discouraged and fed up, I knew it was time for me to try something different. I began exercising. I lost some inches but the weight would not come off as easy as before. My doctor was concerned about me gaining so much weight so fast. I underwent a few tests to see if there was any medical reason for my weight gain. There wasn't. It was all me. It was my lifestyle and I was not as young as I used to be. It's not as easy losing weight after 40. The commercials from True Results caught my attention. Lose weight for good at True Results.com. I started researching the lap band procedure. I researched for 4 months and found out everything I could about the pros and cons. I made a list. I made a goal. I decided to have the lap band procedure. I was banded on March 15, 2013. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made except for marrying my husband. (:)) My heaviest I have been my entire life was 250. My weight at my lapband consultation was 235. I am now 207 and counting down. I walk 5 miles everyday, something I would have never been able to do before. My weight gain was horrible on my asthma condition. I could barely walk without having asthma problems along with being worn out. Now I'm even jogging some without any problems. My asthma is under control. I hope in time it continues to improve even more. My only regret is not making the decision to do the band sooner. I feel like this is the beginning of my new life, my better life. It feels pretty great so far.
