Probiotics have been a huge help for me in getting my system going again. I was banded 5/30. I get the capsules and pour the powder in a little juice. Also papaya extract... Chewable tablets you can get at Walmart... Help with digestion and stuck episodes. Learned that from the veterans on YouTube. unjury Protein has been my best friend and liquid pasteurized egg whites.... chocolate protein, few pumps of egg whites, instant coffee, Water and/or almond milk = lots protein and full for hours! -

Best Protein Powder...even Chicken Soup flavor

Hi guys - I am almost a week post op - and was having a hard time with my Protein. The sugar free Protein drinks are horrid, with a bad aftertaste. I heard about unjury www.unjury.com before my surgery and ordered a sample pack. It came yesterday...and OMG - it is a life savor! The protein is 21g and 2g Sugar - it actually tastes good. The chocolate taste like chocolate milk with no horrible aftertaste. The prize though is the chicken Soup flavor - I mixed it in with a cup of chicken noodle soup and it add a great richness to it PLUS 21G of protein! It would even be good on its own. So if you are struggling...definitely check on out Unjury...get the sample pack so you can try it all out...its going to make things ALOT easier for me Wanted to share! Nita -
I feel the exact same way - I am drinking alot...but input doesnt seem to match the output ;/

Post-Op Roundup - how is everyone doing?

I feel you guys on the scale. I think I am going to ban myself from it for the first few weeks until my 1st fill appointment. -
It's the gas in your cavity not your stomach. My anesthesiologist told me that gas X won't help that... You have to walk and move so the Co2 can dissipate into your muscles. I was banded 5/30...and still have those pains. Hydrocodone and the heating pad have been my friends. I try to do extra walking and light activities once my pain meds kick in so it doesn't hurt as much.

Thinking of my options
PrincessNitaJ replied to adugan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Determine if you are like group workouts or doing something solo. Definitely explore your free options... And meetup.com has great fitness groups that are local to your area as well. Bonus tip.. Check out living social and Groupon for offers from local gyms, Bootcamp and personal trainers. You can get some great deals to kick start your program. -

I'm keeping myself busy tonight - cleaning the house so I have a calm environment to come home to tomorrow. And drinking lots of water!!!
