Does lettuce not bother you? I don't handle any stringy greens well. I wish I did though. While I think your weight loss is great, I would ask your doctor to see what they would recommend. I understand you wanting a fill, but I've been filled too tight before & it is miserable, so if you're comfortable & losing weight, I probably wouldn't push it. -

When I had my surgery last year, they gave me liquid medication. But I would just crush it up. And also, about the piercing, I ran into a similar situation. They want any & all piercings removed. I would go ahead & see about that. It's better to be safe than sorry. And good luck! You'll love the changes you're soon to see in yourself! Happy Banding! -

I would recommend it! You're going to go through a lot of changes & in the future, it will be inspirational to go back at look at your struggles, your victories, and everything in between! Good luck! Also, if you don't want your friends & family to know, you could always blog under an alias. -
5 days? So not fair! I had to do 2 weeks. My doctor makes everyone. I don't regret it though. It really made me step back and re evaluate my relationship with food.

You just have to be in the right mindset. Be sure you schedule yourself some down time. The gas pain from surgery is rough! Invest in GasX and a heating pad! You'll do great!!

Hey y'all! Monday is my day! I am SO excited & slightly nervous about being put under a general anesthetic... I've been out under once before but many years ago. Any advice to calm my nerves?

I don't think you can do that because you're out under general anesthesia which makes most people relatively groggy. You may could drive yourself to the hospital, but very seriously doubt they'd let you leave alone.

I'm having my LapBand procedure done on August 9th! Prior to surgery, I will be on a 2 week liquid pre-op diet. How much weight did you lose during the pre-op phase? What can I expect immediately after surgery? What's the usual down time? Feeling a little anxious, but super excited!
