I was banded on May 28th 2013. Started my pre op on May 15th @ 258lbs. I had severe sleep apnea. I weigh 203 today and feel like a new man. Somebody told me yesterday that I should stop losing weight I'm getting too skinny. I haven't heard that in a long time. This procedure is a lifesaver.

Banded on May 28th @ 258 lbs with severe sleep apnea. Today I am 207 lbs and sleeping like a baby. Best decision I ever made. -
I tell everybody the truth. I was banded on May 28th and have lost 51 lbs. I have had almost all positive responses. One person said "Couldn't you just go on a diet?" I simply said "This was the best solution for me" I personally don't care what people think. I feel great. One thing that has happened also is people pull me aside and ask who my doctor was. LOL.

Is it ok to take NyQuil after being banded? I have a cold and could use a shot if NyQuil.

Banded Tuesday, May 28th. Starting to feel more pain today

I was banded last Tuesday and some complications with the band being tight. They released the saline and I was able to come home wednesday. I received a steriod shot on tuesday and on Friday. Today I am starting to feel pain. Do you think it's because the striods are wearing off? -
I was just banded last Tuesday. The port is easy to feel and you could tell there is a little bit of a bump there. Does this show more an more as you lose weight? I am already down 22 lbs between my pre op diet and first week still on clear liquids. I am wondering what the port will look like as I go on considering it is already noticeable.

Just a week ago. I just wanted to hear somebody say they had a drink. I'm going to wait awhile longer. -
I can't wait until I can get to Stage 2. I had some post surgery problems with swelling and I am still on stage 1 having trouble getting the shakes down.

Just had Surgery Tuesday with some Problems

I just had the surgery and and I had some problems. After the surgery they tell you that you need to walk off the gas in your system. I walked all night and still had problems with nausea and stomach pains. After the upper gi series they realized the band was too tight and removed 3 cc's, I immediately felt better. Has this happened to anybody else?
