How are you feeling? -
Sorry I have been MIA but been depressed over the denial.My surgery was suppose to be tomorrow makes me sad I don't get to start my journey yet. I went for my 5th visit on Sept 23 and was down 10lbs! They were going to submit again and see if I still have to do another weigh in Oct 21 or not. I will call Monday or Tuesday of I have not heard anything yet. My PCP sent in an appeal on my behalf also.

Nice! I work in Tempe by Az Mill Mall. I called and left a message today with the medical director for the Ins that denied me! We shall see if e calls me back or not... I'm guessing it will be NOT! -

I know this is TMI but- I'm still pre op but have have the Brazilian done a couple times and yes it's embarrassing to have to told your tummy rolls, but just cause I'm fat doesn't mean I don't want it to be nice and clean for my man I have to much trouble trying to shave by myself lol ill take the 15-30 min of embarrassment

So my September surgery for banding was denied I am currently jumping through more hoops to hopefully get banded in November.

Thank you! I have two more weigh ins then will be resubmitted for Ins. I was so happy and ready now I'm depressed and sad and I don't come on here as much, because seeing everyone so happy they got approved and a date. I am very happy everyone is moving forward just feel like I'm stuck and won't be moving on to a healthier me. I'm afraid even after I do the now required 6mo weigh ins they will find another reason to deny me.

The medical director used that as an example the water weight, time of month, clothes I was wearing, and they said even if it was an ounce gain I would have been denied!

I am suppose to have the same Dr when/if I ever get my band (having to jump through more ins hoops) I am in North Phoenix but don't mind driving. Maybe we can meet up for coffee sometime?

I also have a fatty liver (surprise surprise!) and the Nutritionalists recommended I take beet juice capsules or drink beet juice. I had to buy the capsules from Amazon. She said the beet juice helps the liver break down the fat and flush it out. I guess I will know for sure when/ if ever get my band -

We are going to jump through a couple more hoops and if they deny me again then I will go the self pay route. I already have a loan out through my 401k so not sure I will be able to borrow anymore until that's paid off only time will tell -

Wow put prospective on this. Here I'm all depressed because I was denied over 1.8lbs that's nothing compared to what you had to go through! I am so greatful everything worked out for you and you are now able to get the band Please keep us posted on your journey! -
