I just went through the process with triwest - united healthcare military west. It was 4 weeks from consult to surgery. Message me if you need any help.

I just had my surgery by dr Neal on the 17th of this month. My experience so far has been great. Do you all attend the support group meetings? -

Hi all. I couldn't find the posts at first either! I was banded on the 17th. It's back to work for me tomorrow. I'm still having quite a bit of incision pain but other than that I'm all right.

I think I'm all set! Reporting at 530am to sit around and wait I'm sure. They said my surgery time is 730 and realistically I may be coming out of surgery around 930am. I didn't have to do a pre op diet... They told me to drink as much as possible today for hydration and have a light dinner. It all happened so fast! Less than a month from consult to banding! Anyone else scheduled for tomorrow???

Thanks Allyson and congrats!! My only advise is to have a small pillow with you and pull that close to your tummy prior to a cough. It will hurt though, just no getting around it. -

I agree the wait was the worst. I'm almost a week out and the part I was least prepared for is the pain of the incisions. There is some muscle pain and deep shooting pains at first with certain movements. That surprised me. -
