insurance is crazy, I waited a whole year from start to finish with insurnce and all kinds of appointments.. so i understand how depressing it is to want something so bad and have to wait so long for it.. but once it comes down to the wire and the operatiion is here you will feel reborn. and be so happy you finally had it done. You are going to have many ups and downs but hang in there its all worth it and everyone on this sight is here to help you and answer your questions.. we have been there.. good luck to all .

    OVER 300 lbs

I started at 350 Im at 267 now it has slowed a lot now but i just take it at little goals . my goal now is to be below 250 then it will be to be below 200 .. i'm just so happy when its a lose.
  12. miralax and lots of water , also a stool softener everyday helps a lot
  13. i use premier Protein shakes too love them in blender with a few ice cubes and cinnamin lts like a mild shake
  14. i thought it was just me I look in the mirror and still think i see a fat person. i have lost 80lbs but my eyes and mind doesn't see it. the chothes are smaller so i know i am too but the mind plays games.
  15. Hi beme, isn t like we have been born again.. the best thing i ever did. and like you weight lose has slowed down a lot. but to me a lose is a lose . keep up the good work.
  16. onlybroomgirl Hi i was sleeved in Feb also, and agreed with you. I feel great and love the new me. i am lazy about working out and thank goodness my skin hanging isnt too bad just under my arms some.. stomach a little but like you not as bad as i expected and control panties help. I can eat most things but turned off by red meats. and a lot of food i use to love just doesnt taste as good as it use to .. my taste has changed a lot.. I really try to stick to my diet but sometimes i just need somethink like ice cream so i found just one tsp and im satisfied before i would have had a big bowl with lots of choc surup on.. I am also off a ton of meds. which is the best think for my pocket book and health. I should have done this years ago. only problem is even though people tell me i look good, when i look in the mirrow i still see the old me..I know i am losing my clothes keep getting bigger and i can but smaller ones. but my head still sees fat me.. strange well keep up the good work and take care.

oh yea and as far as Protein, i tried a lot and found that primear protein was the best one for me and has 30 grams of protein in one shake

    65 and over

I was only in hosp for overnight..wasnt as bad as i expected.. a little sore and slept on recliner for 2 nights. but never really had to take pain meds.. You wont believe how the weight drops off everyone loses different but so far since feb i went from 350 to 268. 2 things you have to remember and its very important is walk walk walk and drink drink drink . lots of Water and a good trick is to use a shot glass and set a timer for 15 mins and every 15 min drink a shot glass of water sip slowly it will be hard at first to get all your water in remember your stomack is lots smaller and still swollen from operatiion. any other questions , just ask, anytime I will be glad to help.. and good luck

    slow loss could it be......

Don't compare your lose with others. everyone loses different.. a lose is a lose no matter how much.i embrace every lb i lose. I'm 67 yrs old and since my operation in Feb.since then i have threw out my cane. i can walk from car to apartment door without stopping to catch my breath. and no longer taking diabetic meds , blood pressure meds cut in half. my point is just look at the prositive things.

    Slow weight loss

dont worry about what everyone else is losing everyone is different. just remember a pound lost is a pound lost thats what counts not how many just that its a lose.
