Hey ArtM, are you home? How did it go? I hope all is well and you can check in with us soon.
-
Check in at 8:00am, surgery is scheduled for 10:00. I can have my Protein shakes on Wednesday but have to be fasting for 12 hours before surgery. What time do you go?

I know !! Thursday is coming...biting nails...literally! I'm so hungry today!

Unjury sells plain protein powder that you can mix with any flavor you like. They also sell chicken broth with protein, maybe that would work for you better.

I just found where I can search for people on the iPad. Sometimes I don't look in the most logical places...like the button that says "search". Lol!

I can only add you through email. If you want, send me your email or here is mine shelly8201@gmail.com.

I'll request you today :-)

Are any of you using MyFitnessPal to track protein/calories and weight? If so I'd love to be friends on that system as well. My user name is shellywolson.

Yes ArtM, please keep us posted on how it goes. Me, Time4Kim, and utkscvol1 go at the end of the week and we need your reassurance :-)

You did what you were supposed to do. You stayed healthy and within your calories. I went to BJs Brewhpuse today with my family and chose a bowl of chicken tortilla Soup (250 calories). I used that to replace 2 of my shakes. Once we get to eat real food again, we'll be ahead of the game. We got this!

Where are you from in Florida? Time4Kim and I are from the Tampa area.

I'm supposed to drink 5! Maybe they are smaller than yours though. Mine are 160 calories and the size of a juice box. I can usually get them all in, but I also get no food.

I really like walking too, but summer in Florida makes it miserable. I can't wait until I can start riding the bike I bought last year. My surgery date in June 13th!

How soon did you go back to work?
solson8201 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm being banded on Thursday June 13th and I'm scheduled to go back to work the following Monday. It's nothing very strenuous, I'm a teacher and I will be presenting a training to other teachers. No lifting, just on my feet. I also have a training partner, so out of the 6 hour training I will be able to sit for half of it if I need to. Did anyone go back to work this quickly? The folks at my surgeons office say barring any complications I should be fine. I just worry that I'm going to be in tons of pain.
